I was beginning to think I was the only one that thought this!  I mean, it's one of the few things I dislike about the LoS saga: the Belmonts are kinda lackluster.  The two strongest are Dracula and Alucard.  It's just kinda odd having played the older series from CV 1 to now.

Yep. Im at work right now so I'll do it when I arrive at home  . I don't remember the names of all the bosses. They are not so many and they don't have secondary forms as far as I remember.

Depending on who you talk to, Alucard has always been the strongest person in Castlevania.

Please, Konami, let the next incarnation shift back to the Belmonts and keep Dracula as the main villain. No more "let's play as Dracula". Hell, might I add a suggestion. Focus on the family feud, meaning show a little more about the Belmonts rather than the chosen hero set off to vanquish the evil. Show the family aspect, their parents upon sending their children out to protect the world, the siblings that bond with as children but are forced to leave behind and such. And the same for Dracula. Maybe it's time to write in Mircea and Radu into the continuity, re-establish Elizabeth Bartley into the closer ranks and so on(you could even write new siblings for Dracula). Focus on the Belmont family versus Dracula's family, something that CAN span decades.

yeah, I was also bummed regarding Victor. Like Kamirine said, the Belmonts seem to have gotten the shaft this time. That's why I'm hoping they are moer prominent a force next time. We've gotten Dracula's story, as Cox has stated the LoS as being. So, there's no more need to focus on him being the main and major force after LoS has ended. And again, like my proposal, the original canon focused on the Belmonts(somewhat prominent), while LoS focused on Dracula. Only fitting the next one focus on BOTH(story-wise).

Also, is it wrong that, regarding everything in this game, I find more interest in the Toy Maker's story than LoS2's story in general? Hell, I think the mystery regarding the Bernhards is far more interesting than the LoS trilogy as a whole. The Bernhards were depicted as a crazy family who ruled the castle before Carmilla took it over. That idea of a family so dark and evil, that's what I want my ideal "Dracula family" to be like.

The Belmonts are completely useless in this trilogy. In the end, there's no point in the blood feud since it doesn't go anywhere. If they cut out Trevor's character, Dracula wouldn't have a motivation for hating humanity, and thus turning into a villain. They might as well had him moping in his castle for a 1000 years until it was time for him to beat up Satan again, and it wouldn't have made any difference, since he changes his mind 5 minutes afterwards anyway. The writing in these games is absolutely awful. I'll save the rest for the LoS retrospective thread.

agreed, I've said it before I will say it again, say what you want about the original canon or even IGA for that matter but at least the Belmonts finally got to put a end to Dracula in the end. in the LOS series not only does the only last remaining "human" belmont get killed off, at the end of the game Dracula goes on to win and have a touching moment with his son. It really did let me down and make me feel that the Belmonts where not done justice in this series, even though Victor did sacrifice himself in a badazz manner.

Oh my goodness I've always thought this. I won't lie Castlevania to me has always been about the Belmont family. I understand that LoS is more about Dracula but come one give me more Belmont. I was excited for Victor but then I saw him and wasn't too impressed. MoF is the only interesting game to me in this series because you're a Belmont(s) in a giant castle fighting monsters.

I do not think it takes say, is obviously if you play the game, Victor will have more time in the history of LOS2 .. I think someone here complained about short time of Victor. Although, i don´t know why discarted the story of Sonia in LOS2. I hope she will included in the Victor DLC.

If Konami will milk LOS saga, they have to make a Victor game. He has wings, runs like hell, has a gauntlet, lost his eye, scarred like Simon. How? I think he deserves a game. I really liked the story of LOS2 but there are more implicit aspects that could do very well in a novel.

The only thing I would suggest for Konami would be to never include Satan in the story ever again.

I still can't take him seriously even after LoS2.
