I'm confused why they gave the Day of Sigma film a charged shot, but not the Maverick Hunter X main game.
Also it's a question which version of X3 they will give us.
I was hoping X6 would not have the quirk that can't have a file that Black Zero and Ultimate Armor are all in place without cheating this time but it seems the version would be a simple port and all hopes are likely wasted

X6 couldn't be saved with full energy tanks on the PSX.. I stopped playing at that point.
If they fix this I'd consider the collection.

X - one of my favorite games ever and my favorite megaman X2 - solid follow up for fans of X X3- only played a little bit X4- in the running for the best in the series
X5- never played X6- never played X7- never played X8 - very bad

X8 is definitely not very bad, if anything, X6 or X7 deserve that title.
but whatever
i don't care about legacy collection, i can emulate all those games on my phone if i want to.

X8 was a step in the right direction after the disaster that was X7, though it would've been much better if it was less of a spikefest and got rid of the currency grinding.
Anyway, I'm considering picking it up sometime, if only just to tell Capcom that yes, we do want more X.

Snes X3 confirmed. Capcom is also doing the Collection internally, so no Digital Foundry (They did drop the ball on MMLC2 on PC, performance and lack of offline access) Physical pre-orders are up now.

Awesome information to know! I'd like to see how much else could be done in the future.
X6 deserves a bugfix and this time is the perfect chance; it's impossible to fight Zero Nightmare level 4 in the final version while beat Zero Nightmare level 4 rewards Black Zero regardless of secret code input, but it's possible to fight his level 4 variant in the prototype build! since the first time I knew this, it makes no sense at all...! If they fixed it I'll bother buy the collection.

I have MMXC on PS2, that works for me, despite MMX3 being the PS1 version instead of the SNES version.

What's really missing is Mega Man: Battle and Chase (the kart racer). That was in the PS2 and GC collection :P
Kidding aside, I'm prolly gonna get this. Kinda find it funny how it's split apart.

Video footage of the new challenge mode (VS. two Maverick bosses at the same time)
(click to show/hide)
I think this is a rather retarded idea they had, they could make a few new stages using the existing X4-X6 tileset (in shorter words - Wily Wars Wily Tower style)alongside this mode, that will work. This thing alone makes tiny little sense to nonexistense

I was going to disagree, but upon thinking about it, I can't help but, well, agree. I think it's going to be a novelty that wears off quick (at least from what we've seen), and yeah, a Wily Tower type thing would be better (a new byte sized X series game complete with weapons and such). Though, if it were to emulate Wily Wars completely, that means a honking amount of weapons and armours. Another way they could've done a bonus would be remixed levels from all the games (one from each game for the maverick bosses), like the Gameboy Mega Mans or the Mega Man Xtreme games, or Sonic Mania's returning levels. Then followed by some new Sigma stages.

Rockman X4 gameplay. I found the font of "Press Option or O" text too much inconsistent and weird compared to the pre-existence old text font Pretty retarded move they did.

That makes no sense when you consider that memory sticks themselves can have Gigabites of memory on them. More then enough to hold the entire MMX collection. There's no reason why a Switch cart cannot contain the whole collection and then some. Sounds like Capcom is doing with this like they did with the first MM legacy collection.

Fortunately, I buy all my Switch games digital, so this is not a issue I will have to contend with. Unfortunately, buying digital on Switch has it's own drawbacks. ;____;

Eh. I mostly do it for portable systems. My Xboxes and PlayStations I buy disc only if that's an option, but I like taking my entire library of games with me when I pack a Switch, PS Vita, or PSP Go in my bag, and digital only makes it so I only have to pack the system itself, rather than suss out portable storage for all deez gaems.
For my PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and One, I buy physical because space considerations are less at the forefront.
And because having a wall of games you can point to and show off is still badass.

We're getting retranslated X5 boss names in X Challenge. (https://www.facebook.com/megaman/videos/2115349905159829/) Dunno about the actual X5 port itself though, but I'm kinda hoping the more egregious mistranslations get fixed if this is any indication.

I just picked up the MMX legacy collection today. I thought it was going to be a separate release like they did with the MMLC, but upon opening the box it was both discs in one pack. But I do agree that both the gameboy titles Xtreme 1&2, Command missions, and Maverick Hunter X should have been included.

I did notice that when playing the first title. Fortunately it was minuscule enough that I had no trouble. It still played pretty much as I remember it on the SNES, except for one part; In Sting Chameleon's stage. There is a segment where you can get your armour upgrade, however the amount of choppy screen action was very noticeable there.

I miss the original kawaiiloljrock X6 music I used for the early drafts of ParoVadius. :[
Either Shoutaru Morikubo wasn't interested in getting paid or CACPOM didn't want to pay 'em.
Similar went down when KOMANI changed music in Parodius Portable. The ways these people lie to your face while selling shit, grumblegrumble. :\

Major disappointment & torture factor
(click to show/hide)
So beating Dynamo is entirely possible but Gate is so damn random and may waste up the whole given time and didn't give you a ***t (and I can't believe the difficulty is damn normal, they definitely misplaced something or has some oversights. Challenge is good, but must be based on something POSSIBLE on the first place. Designers, what make you guys think we are all THAT hardcore God gamer and set that God gamers' strict torture factor to all of us!? And it's only damn normal? No energy/extra life refills? This is a design failure and an update is needed to address this.... Screw designers until updates fixed it.)

Gave up on hard challenge. Hard Vol.2 6-3 is simply Inhuman. Or they scrapped a hidden expert mode and misplaced regular modes' settings with expert mode's setting? The whole hard challenge thing should be rebalanced. It's not average player that sucks. It's the designers that fucked up the whole thing. With tight rebalance it should be awesome.
Fuck this shit
EDIT: Never mind, there're infinity HP cheat engine tables available, and again fuck it, this is the only case I never feel guilty using external cheats in any video game. Most scenarios at later two stages are amazingly reasonable, it's just this fucking Hard Vol.2 6-3 ruined the whole mode
I feel sad for people keep suffering in this Hell of torture on consoles
SCREW DESIGNERS

According to videos lots of people prove they reach the special battle, I thought Vol. 1 version of X Challenge would be better - at least tolerable but quickly realized I was wrong after actual experience. They're equally bad.
Vol. 1 has Infinity Mijinion as the grand champion of fucking RNG bowlshit, and with increased defense. He's the result of faulty design from the Beginning to the end, unlike the Zero Nightmare + X5 Sigma team (I actually like how the concept of X5 Sigma works, and everything about him design-wise)

so apparently Capcom is pleased with the X collection sales, according to protodude. they put out a statement saying it's done well due to strong brand potential, dedicated fanbase, blah blah, it was generic corporatespeek.
But point is, they're happy with it. Which means X9 doesnt seem so foreign a possibility anymore

Vanquished all XLC1 achievements and the horrible X Challenge (normal). X Challenge hard Infinity Mijinion is owlfoul and I must say a "thank you" to the guy who shared the Cheat Engine table of this game to everyone. Fuck the overall "design" of X Challenge hard, fuck the unbalanced special weapon that run out of ammo SO quick, fuck the "designer" who made the tolerance of poor X something like a paper, fuck the stupid boss choice that 80% of the fights are a mere torture...Except the Repliforce Colonel/General fight, which is possible for anybody and actually fun.
