Just thought I'd start a thread for people to talk about Super Smash Bros. Brawl since the old one no longer exists.

I want to play when it's out. :o But I don't own a Wii. Figure by now I may as well wait for a price drop. At least, I'm hoping it's soon around the corner...

I have it preordered along with Guitar Hero 3, and I can't wait to play both.
Maybe Nintendo will surprise us with a drop near the holidays, though, at the rate Wii's selling, I doubt they will.

I did see a few Wiis in stock at my local Target a week ago. It's a rare sight to see them behind the case at any store. :o I thought of buying one, but then figured I'd rather have Nip/Tuck season 4, after which I didn't have enough dough for a Wii, much less a Wii and a game. :o

I guess there's not much out now I care about playing. Zelda I got for GameCube (which it's better on), RE4 I have for GameCube (I don't much care about the extras or the Wii controls), and Brawl and No More Heroes aren't out yet.

You must have gotten there shortly after the shipment arrived.  Back in February, even keeping up with the shipments, it was still a bitch to get a Wii.

I like the Wii controls in Zelda.  I'm sure it was good on either platform though.

I am REALLY psyched about Meta-Knight's ship being in the game.  That was one of my favorite areas in Kirby Super Star, and they even retained the double barreled cannon-boss that shoots bombs, a laser, and its fist at you, and included those features in the stage.  That is simply awesome treatment to the hard-core gamer in me.

Though, I'm not a Kirby fan, I can relate to that with the Fire Emblem level. Nintendo sure is putting in a hell of an effort to make their fans happy.

Well thats two of us at least. I got caught up in the Melee hype not having liked the original much only to sell it a month or so later(to get Star Fox Adventures, which was probably worse).

Since we are getting it next year I might pick it up though considering that post Mario Galaxy there's bound to be a Wii software drought again.

Man, in the summer of '02 I was playing Melee a ton. Literally every weekend with my buddies for hours and hours. Went on like that for over a year. (Those were the great hangout days of movies, games, music, swimming, etc.) I can't imagine NOT liking that game. :o

Today's update is pretty good. I always enjoyed playing Special Melee in multiplayer. Playing as Giant Mario with Mega Mushrooms turned on to make them even more bigger and using Mario's taunt to make him even more bigger. They brought back the Metal Boxes, I can't wait to see how each character will look like in Metal.

Yeah, one of my friends was very fond of Mewtwo. He was a tough opponent. :o

I mostly stuck to Ganondorf. I was a slow, heavy-hitter type of player. Never could quite play like my other friends, with all the fancy strategies and precise moves. But I held my own. :o Won countless matches. I was a worthy adversary to them. >:O

It was decent considering how crappy they've been lately.
If a "new" character isn't introduced tomorrow (and it better not be snake dammit), i'm going to be pissed.
