Yeah, that was kinda weird, lmao.  I guess they wanted to save the date announcement, along with confirming co-op and the old gang coming back for the BG stream to go along with GV3.

They’ll have another stream in the 7th (dunno if I’ll watch, I don’t want to be spoiled too much XD) before it comes out.

I actually got my office put together enough to stream this game when it comes out. It's the first game I've been truly excited about in 2020 thus far.

I'm absolutely stoked for the title. Hoping to get to it this weekend so I can write up stuff about it. Always nice where there's any new Castlevania content, and since Konami seems to only want to put out mobile games now, I'll take what IGA is selling.

Hey how did the Angry Nintendo Nerd already make a video review for this when it's only been out for a matter of hours?

They probably get an advanced copy. They're not un-famous, after all.

Finished the first episode. Not bad so far although I don't think the new characters of Robert and Hachi are that great. Robert is weak and kinda pathetic at platforming, while Hachi would be good if his jump weren't so finicky (hold the a button slightly too long and you're committed to his hover). Some of the bosses are also really obnoxious, which holds me back from absolutely loving this adventure so far.

Yeah, I don't like Hachi's controls. I wish it was more like a double jump, i.e press the button again rather than hold to hover. The game is still awsum tho.

I got through the first 5 levels fairly effortlessly, then got stuck on level 6 for around 2 hours. They send you wayyyyy too far back when you die at the boss.

Enjoying the new character lineup a lot so far. The character swap system and the balancing of the characters makes it feel like there is always a different strategy to try when things aren't going your way. The differences between the characters feel more pronounced this time, but they also compliment each other really well.

Hopefully I'll have time to finish the game this week.

what I really liked about the first one is how the different endings had unique final bosses

This game got me to finally sign up for Steam. Paid and purchased. Go to install. Not Mac compatible. Sad. Died.

we’re getting a “legend mode” at the end of the month.  looks like a hard mode to me with extra enemies and stuff.

https://youtu.be/NwiXDTW8KxY

Edit:  Oh, it’s got extra enemies in it because the enemies respawn.  Also, you lose an entire life when any character dies.  It’s also out today.

They need to add an option that lets you press up and attack for a subweapon.

so i just realized something after playing the first few episodes of this, i think the added character count tipped me off.
people say curse of the moon plays like CV3 or TMNT nes, but these are people who never played wai wai world.

wai wai world/konami world similarities
- rescue characters to add to your team?  check.
- switch who you play as on the fly?  got it.
- assorted upgrades to pick up through the game?  of course.
(click to show/hide)
- team up against OP final boss?  absolutely.

it seems they took the template from the 1988 famicom game and smoothed it out a whole lot, which is just what we needed.
wai wai world was even multi-player, which made this a logical next step for curse of the moon.

once i saw this screen, i dropped what i was doing and called a friend who also dropped everything.
the multi-player mechanics aren't clunky and there's a lot of "hell yeah, teamwork" moments.
