I've seen a couple of episodes myself, and it's definitely not a bad cartoon. My issues with it stem from the fanbase betraying the quality of the show itself. While that is usually the case with anything at all, here it's just so in your face that it puts me off from wanting to watch any more of it.
I guess I should clarify that I don't think Haman-sama is creepy or anything like that, since even he rejected the show before becoming absorbed into its world. I'm talking about the more extreme types.
Yup. It's the whackjobs who think they're going to marry Fluttershy or are the reincarnation of Applejack or stuff like that that ruin the reputations of the legitimately sane fans. Like me.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.
Oh god I hate those people. Yes, I'm a TEENSY bit obsessive about the show, but honestly, those nutjobs give guys like us a bad name.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care. It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.
