I doubt they are closely related enough to call it incest if they really are related which I'll never accept anyway!

I'm still surprised that nobody has pointed out that DoS removed all references to Soma's supposed 'exchange student' status.

You just described about 90% of anime heroes who gain super powers. :P

Then put the sprite in your sig. you can direct link it from my server if you don't feel like uploading it, it's not like it eats that much out of my 7.5 tb of bandwidth/month. :o

Yeah, you have a point there.

Oh yeah, I tried that. Obviously, it didn't go so well. I'm gonna retry.

That's a part of the japanese story too, not usa exclusive like all the stuff I mentioned. :P

Also how is it incest? Maria never went after Richter who was a distant part of her family. She wanted only Alucard, who was a total stranger to her.

Alternate reality storylines don't count. :P

In DXX the renards weren't related to Belmonts.

Wasn't Maria adopted by Annette in DXC?

I thought they just hung out. Maybe Annette takes care of Maria, and cause of that they're like sisters

*nods*

I suppose it was a only a matter of time before a simple question about a pasty-faced angst-ridden boy with supernatural powers somehow reverted to an allusion of Maria and Annette engaging in nut-busting incestial relations, maybe even with Richter and Alucard thrown in to offer some man meat for the imagination.  :P I dunno about the rest of you, butyeeesh.

Incidentally, teen Japanese boys would love how this topic turned out.

Indeed. It also has nothing to do with the original topic.

I think that's any teenage anime loving boy >.<

Anyways... I believe Soma is from Europe and well...spanish. Cruz = Cross. Now what if his mother was japanese and his father was spannish? Hence why Soma is a "child-hood" friend of Mina. Just maybe... Mr. Soma spent a lot of time in Japan with his parents on trips or had to move to go and fourth because maybe his parents are devorced?

the usa version did, and we all know they aren't that good at translating/looking up for referrences/correct name spelling. I mean, they gave us bullshit like poltergeist king, graveyard duck, danasty, renard, lecarde, curly and other stupid mistranslations.

as for the transfer student deal, they changed the fact that soma was a japanese guy probably because they were afraid non japanese cv's fans wouldn't want to play as some japanese angsty teenager. the majority of cv fandom wasn't really the animu kiddies crowd until they made dos and pork.
