This is clearly a homebrew. The pic of the zombie im sure is from house of the dead. and the pic of the hero is from Cotm isnt it?, those pictures of the buildings just look like generic victorian era buildingsa from any industrial estate you could find near where I live... not impressed.

lololol

That is so fake, its probably just another game with a picture over it. There are things wrong with it.

That is Nathan Graves.
They never drew that well back in the days of NES.
The Castlevania logo is the new one they only started using recently.

I had a Brazilian friend in elementary school that told me of a "Castlevania: Stairway to Hell". At first I thought he was lying, but looking at this makes the pieces fall together. I guess he got some kinda weird bootleg?

I'd buy it if it were still 4 bucks.

Earlier when I saw this I sent the dude a question. I asked " Is this just some game you made, or did you just make the label and slap it on an NES cart, cause this isn't a real game"...
Well, I just got my answer

"It's a reproduction"....thats all I got!

....ummmm....oh lord.... that is an enigma. Still, I agree with Clara. Someone with loads of money to just throw away has to buy this, knowing that it may or may note be a totally rip off fake. There is no way in hell this is an actualy official game, but even so... the sticker and everything looks so good and just like a real NES game. Is it possible to get a homebrew game onto a NES cartridge and actually have it work on a NES?

Yeah, I saw that. Your point? Oh yes, I just restated that it is homebrew, I guess. Still, how do you get a homebrew into a NES cartridge??

If you had a flash cart you could transfer it but they're expensive. My best guess is they just took a sticker off of some Catlevania and slapped that joke on it. It looks like they slapped an eyepatch on Nathan Graves, lol.

That logo was made by Dr. Mario too I think.

Btw. it's possible to get nes roms on real cartridges. There are people who take some money ($5 or so plus shipping costs) and an existing cartridge to erase its content and replace it with the rom data.

It's not a homebrew, guys.  It's a very detailed hack.
DoctaMario (a member of this forum) is the Tile/Sprite artist for it.

Jeez, the guy even joins our CV IRC channel from time to time.

I doubt the person selling this hack has anything to do with him or the hacking team he's in.

I repeat: IT'S NOT A HOMEBREW.
