Clawgrip.

My friend calls them "Merfolk", since they can't possibly all be men.

Pimp Mastah, thanks to one of those "What's your Pimp Name?" generators years ago.

And my personal favorite, via Jorge...

I've never, ever nick-named a CV character before in all the years I've played the games. In fact the thought of nick-naming a character has never even entered my mind. My bro on the other hand (knowing his sense of humor being similar to Douglas Adams and a few others) would have chimed in, in the most unpredictable times of my play throughs, and make a funny comment about said CV characters. Then he'd promptly give them a nick-name worth their time.

Well, not CV-related, but my friend call them "Jackie Chan":

Nearly half of the CV genre bears its name and you're telling us it's not CV related?

And I can't exactly see what that has in common with Jackie Chan...

They jump and kick like kung fu masters while being invincible lol
Only after some moves they become yellow and then vulnerable.

Oh, THAT. I'd somehow missed the yellow blur. I thought you were referring to the space pirate...

It's not Castlevania, but many years ago me and my friend used to play megaman a lot and he used to call those guys "mini-nazis"  ;D

First time my friend encountered a fleaman in Castlevania 1 he was hit multiple times by it and killed, and after that he referred to it as "that clingy f***ing fetus". Ever since that I think about them as "clingy fetus".

I always thought it would be funny if Mudman was an actual surname, pronounced the same way you would pronounce Zimmerman, Freeman, etc. And the mudmen could have first names, too, like Steve. Steve Mudman. Oh no, I murdered Steve Mudman!!  :'(

But it IS the space pirates. While they are colored like in this screen they are invincible.

They had Mudwomen in Castlevania X68000. I guess the only nick-name you could call them is 'Mud's Women'.

Yeah raida kick!!!

After judgement I called sypha Busty for awhile and Shanoa Rukia because of Michelle Ruff and bleach.

Simon Conan

Julius kenpachi same reason as Shanoa. It was like once.

Death in RoB you freaking ninja...

That red tentacle monster in the first forest in OoE that thing was doing tentacle action to Shanoa if it grabbed her. It's a freaking tentacle monster and I would be disappointed if there was no hentai of what I'm speaking of !!!  >:(

Don't even get me started on this:
Character | Nickname | Reasoning (if I have one)
Merman | Manfish | One day I came across the merman and pretended to know what it was calling it 'manfish' even since then I still call them manfish
Dario Bossi | Wolverine | He reminds me of the Wolverine for some reason, I have no clue why.
Great Armor | Fake Boss | When I first saw it it looked like a boss
Fleaman | Morgan Fleaman | Little joke that I found on the internet
Malachi | Winged man-Kraken | I honestly can't explain this one
Mini Devil and Imp | Annoying little ****| It's true
Buer (AoS only) | Octolion | Once again can't really explain this
Giant Ghost | Raging Skull | When I saw it in AoS I immediately thought of this
Death mask | Crow Face | In PoR it looked like a face with crow wings
Manticore | Dave | I don't even know
I have many more this is just the start of my list.

One other nickname that I think I should have included is the nickname I gave the Ctulhu in Symphony of the Night: Budgie, the exclamation: It is a huge demon thing with really small wings that remind me of my parrot, now I have an african grey and they are pretty big so I didn't name it after my parrot I instead named it "Budgie" because of how budgies look compared to Baxter (my parrot) I did name the Blue Crow in AoS Baxter after my bird.

When we were kids, me and a buddy of mine started calling the medusa heads in CV1 "Nana heads" because my grandma (Nana) bears a striking resemblance to the sprites for those. Still to this very day, over 16 years later, he can be playing a CV game and when they pop up, he says "aw shit, those damn Nana heads."

Not the most imaginative of nicknames, but I often call Alucard either 'Al' or 'Allie'.  I blame fanfiction. :)

Ah, fanfiction.... I call him Alu but sometimes I use the other 2 nicknames you mentioned.

I've called things by a "nickname" in the sense that I didn't read the manual and didn't know what the actual name was...but those aren't very amusing.  For instance, in CV 1:
(Real name - my name)
Eagles - Vultures
Fleamen - Hunchbacks
Ghosts - Flaming Skull
Ghouls - Zombies
Ravens - Birds/Crows
Panthers - I think I called them dogs for a little while.
Bone Towers - Bone Heads (okay...that could be kinda funny...boneheads)

So, kinda boring.  My "nicknames" generally still make sense. :-/

Fox Archer - Robin Hood
Ghoul - Gollum
Harpies - I remember my dad always called them just "bad guys" when I was a kid so that's what I remember them as.  :P
Richter - Metal Gear Belmont (Rondo of Blood outfit)
Ice Titan - Talos
Dracolich - Dragon Zombie
Succubus - Hot Damn
Paladin of God - Sniper of Goth
Skeleton Gunman - Tusken Raider

Ironically and amusingly enough this nick-name made it into CotM for one of the two bone towers.

Skeleton Gunman - Tusken Raider

lol, I can see that now you've mentioned it.

When I was a kid, playing the original NES game:

Fleamen - Monkey/Chimps (Tell me they don't look like chimps?)
Dracula - Eustace
Medusa - Neon Head
Pot Roast - Food (Yeah, simples as this. However, in portuguese, it sounds kinda silly to call it simply "food").

Medusa Heads (CV2) - Flying little d**ks
Granfaloon - Zombie Portal
Panthers - Pitbulls
Paranthropus - Gold Skeleton

My brothers and I would always refer to those enemies/items as monkeys and food (chicken), too.

Anyway, I had one for Sypha in Judgment but I can't post it here.

I'll assume it had something to do with her dislike of her own anatomy.
