This one area from the game Chrono Cross had always strike me as Castlevania-ish

Oh, and there's Chaos Legion. I always thought the game's environment is quite Castlevania-esque.
Even the main character looked like a Castlevania character rip-off.

Believe it or not, Artorius Aurelianus (King Arthur)'s tomb is to be under those very ruins.

To me, Schloss Braunfels has always had the best "look" as far as Castlevania. It's a huge castle, for starters, and sits upon high terrain surrounded by forest and valley village. The place is beautiful but has a very haunted quality at night. Like most large stately castles of Germany, it has evolved over the years. Imagining this place wrought with hordes of living dead; it probably would take you several days to whip your way to the top of the keep.

Another castle that really has that Castlevania "look" to me is Burg Hohenzollern. Yes, Germany is full of scenic castles. Images of Hohenzollern often look like something rendered up for an epic fantasy movie, but no, it is indeed a very real place.
