Nagoya, Japan specifically. I'm nervous of course, but more excited than anything...but still nervous...aw heck, Jesse Spanno said it best: "I'm so excited! I...I'M SO SCARED!". Being serious, I am genuinely equal parts excited and anxious. Anyway, I just wanted to let you awesome people know what's going on with me, and, well, outright ask for some well wishes/consoling of my mental illnesses. Also, anybody want, like, some apple falvored Kit Kats or penis shaped, cream filled cookies sent back stateside? (Oh, Japan, you so crazy!)
-
I'm learning japanese so I can go there as an exchange student one day (hopefully). Safe travels, and remember, don't eat the pistachio ice cream. :P
-
Take lots of pics!

Whooohooo!! I'm so happy for you. ;D
Re. the penis shaped chocos, there are boob shaped ones too. And they sell it in a large-ish pack individually wrapped.
There are more kitkat flavors than the apple one. Even Haagen Dazs ice creams are seasonal. The Sakura flavored ones are in full bloom come spring. As of now, brave the summer heat and wait for the treats of autumn. :)
Ohhh... you can play the pachinko games too (when you have the cash) if you are not sensitive to the noisy sounds those machines make.

Woot!! ;D
Have a great time! Have a shot of sake for me! <3

Haha, thanks Shiroi. ^_~* Yeah, Japan's big on the seasonal stuff I hear. I LOVE rose flavored stuff from Fuwarinka, so I'm looking forward to loading up on it while I'm there. Also, I'd forgotten about the booby cakes! I think those'll be my first purchase...and HOLY CRAP, I WANNA PLAY CV PACHISLOT! And Gashapon...gonna get me some Gashapon figures, yep.
-
Hahahaha! Pachislots can be found in arcades with UFO catchers and music games like Taiko no Tatsujin and Project Diva. If you're good at rhythm games or just want to hit something (stress buster) Play those games! You can get them on PS, PSP, vita, ds, 3ds, but nothing beats the arcade version! Since I'm not that good at those I just buy them on handhelds. I'm better at UFO catchers. :)

Congratulations! Good luck!
Sometimes in the large piles of Doujin/Fan made games there are some sort of hidden gems there, if any possibility

Have fun in Japan! And don't forget to bring a Geiger counter with you as well. Ya never know when the winds from Fukushima will start to kick up :-\
-
Holy crap, my plane leaves in like 15 hours! It's all so surreal...I'll check in frequently & let everyone know how it's going though. Again, wish me luck everyone!
-
Good luck. I'm jelly...

Is that where they had the Green Tea flavored Kit Kat?
Why are you headed there anyway?
-
Yeah. Japan is the origin on the green tea kitkat.
She got accepted as an exchange student.
-
I think a green tea kit kat would be one of the first things I'd buy, just because it sounds so odd yet so interesting!
Congrats and good luck to you!!
-
I'm so jealous!
Have a great trip!
-
One thing I've heard from everyone who has been there, Japan will change your life for the better :)
Also 1:1 scale Gundam ftw!
-
I miss Japan...

Have fun ;D

I only took a quick glance, but holy cow!!! :o :o Why don't they bring some of that over here?!! I rarely buy Kit Kat because it's just chocolate and wafer (which is delicious, mind you, but I so enjoy variety.). I'd buy so many more Kit Kat if there was such a variety of flavors here!
