With the dropping of Suicide Squad's new trailer last night, I am even more stoked than I was before.

Everyone looks like they're on the top of their games, and Jared Leto's Joker looks like a legend in the making.

But, let's not forget we also have a great year ahead, kicking off with Deadpool next month, followed by Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (what a mouthful!), then Captain America: Civil War, X-Men Apocalypse, Suicide Squad, and films starring Gambit and Doctor Strange (no trailers for either yet).

There's also a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film coming out in June, but I don't think anyone really cares much.

But all in all, what began with Iron Man and Batman Begins is now in full-swing: comic book movies are perfected, and this year's crop is going to be glorious.

How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

Damn, I must be the only one who feels nothing when I see the Suicide Squad trailers and posters. To me it looks like they're trying to pull a Guardians of the Galaxy - and failing at it. But yeah, this could be interpreted as a good thing :p

I can't stand Margot Robbie's Harley, nor Leto's Joker. His Joker is coming off as extremelly forced to me. Not "Jack Nicholson" forced. More like "OW the EDGE" forced.

Plus, I've a feeling this movie will end up being called "Harley Quinn, Deadshot And Their Bitches."

Now, I'm QUITE excited for Batman vs Superman - even though Snyder has made me doubt his directing a little after the last trailer and his piss poor TMNT Doomsday.

The mastermind behind the "Umbra of Sorrow" project. But not the only one.

I don't know if it's just me, maybe I was spoiled during the 90's.. But I'm not really hyped for any of this.

I can't stand Margot Robbie's Harley, nor Leto's Joker. His Joker is coming off as extremelly forced to me. Not "Jack Nicholson" forced. More like "OW the EDGE" forced.

Kind of moot when you consider that VERY recently, the Joker was wearing his own disembodied face (THAT HE CUT OFF HIMSELF) as a mask. That was dank as hell yo.

If anything, he strongly resembles the current incarnation of the Joker, just with tattoos (my guess is he's a sadomasochist like many adaptations and got off on the pain of being tattooed) and false teeth (presumably because Batman knocked out his originals).

Plus, I've a feeling this movie will end up being called "Harley Quinn, Deadshot And Their Bitches."

You're not very familiar with the Suicide Squad comics, are you? Because you pretty much described them.

Margot Robbie is so far doing an admirable adaption of how Harley Quinn was when she was first inducted into the comics from the TV show. She hadn't yet undergone all her character development and very much was a generically crazy hot chick with a Joker complex. It's not my favorite version of Harley, but they seem to be playing the Suicide Squad film much closer to the source material than Bats v Supes is.

As for her costume, once again, they are playing pretty close to the spirit of the current comics aesthetic while keeping it more in line with the DC Cinematic Universe.

I'm guaranteeing that Harley and Deadshot survive the film (they always do in the comics), but everyone else might be up for the chopping block. It's not called the "Suicide Squad" for no reason...

I'm really looking forward to the Deadpool movie. I haven't had a ton of exposure to the character yet, but the trailers look pretty damn entertaining. I'm kind of indifferent to Ryan Reynolds, but it seems like he's a good fit.

Also want to see the Batman vs. Superman one too, just out of morbid curiosity.

I'm really looking forward to the new Captain America movie, as well. Civil War was a very interesting premise that turned out to be just okay, but Cap was pretty awesome in that one.

Now they just need to make a Spider-Man movie based on Kraven's Last Hunt. Well, okay, maybe not. But think how friggin' dark that one would be!
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I saw this and thought it was really well done (not the movie but the way Cumberbatch looks as Dr. Strange. I'll be honest. The Dr. Strange movie is the only thing I would be looking forward to. I have zero hope for anything else coming out, especially Batman Vs Superman.

I wasn't expecting him to look so much like Dr. Strange. Well done makeup people. :)
