Title: Salad Fingers, ep.11
Post by: TheouAegis on February 11, 2019, 02:43:57 AM
I'm not really a fan of David Firth or Locust Toybox, but it's still kind of hard to ignore the surreal animations they make. I just yesterday saw Firth's animated short "Cream" posted last year, about an inventor/innovator that developed a nanotech cream which not only removes wrinkles but can regrow limbs and give you anything you may need or want by improving anything it touches. It's got that weird, unnerving style of animation that Firth is known for, and the soundtrack makes the whole thing eerie even during its humorous moments. It's actually a dark, critical look at corporate greed and brainwashing. You should definitely check it out if you've never seen it:

But anyway, have you guys seen the latest episode of Salad Fingers? The series was disturbing on so many levels before, mostly because of how weird it was and how clearly Salad Fingers was psychotic, but episode 11 shines a lot of light on his past and one reason he's the way he is. And for me, that episode was the most disturbing of them all simply because it was clearly a very personal episode for Salad Fingers. In most of the episodes, I was always just like, "Dude, what the f---?" But in episode 11, within the first two or three minutes I knew exactly what was going on -- and it was troubling (for me).
