Honestly, I expect something for Castlevania, if it’s no more than another collection.  Probably a proper Rondo/SOTN port for the other consoles and Steam, if I had to guess.  Hopefully they’ll slap Legends on there and maybe a remaster of DXC, but I won’t hold my breath. XD

Still waiting for a DSvania Trilogy… I’m betting they can’t work out how to configure POR’s Sisters mode/ OOE’s Albus mode, given they rely on touch screen usage with a stylus…

MercurySteam was monitored by Nintendo when was making Samus Return and Metroid Dread and yet they still managed to do their own thing, which is sad.

Dread in an awesome game, as a longtime Metroid fan who acknowledges that specific elements of it may not be for everyone. (As per Samus Returns, but truthfully, Dread is a much better game)

The reality is that a new Castlevania by a third party dev would be drastically different and if that dev was GoW’s, guaranteed the game would be similar to LoS, being more/ primarily focused on combat and graphics, as GoW tend to be blockbuster AAA titles.

MercurySteam was monitored by Nintendo when was making Samus Return and Metroid Dread and yet they still managed to do their own thing, which is sad.

On the other hand if the only changes are on game play and not aesthetic, i believe that they will do a very decent job.

If the man does get his wish to make his own CV game then I hope he's carefully monitored by Konami, by people who know what CV is, and are long time fans like us. In that way he won't be tempted to do his own thing with the IP like Cox and MercurySteam did.

Got done beating the Avlora battle on hard mode in Triangle strategy.. 😌

Waiting is all we have, but i want to believe since the new Silent Hill games announcement, that they have something similar in store for Castlevania.
