Topic: What's your favorite weapon from any castlevania game and why?

Mines would have to be the Jet black whip that Jonathan uses in PoR. Such a badass piece of leather!!!

I know that the title doesnt includes "sub-weapons", but they count too? Mine favs are Holy Water (because it hit many times the ground enemies and also can be used to burn anything in the air if you know how to throw it) and Sacred Fist (I use it to catch some items early lol). My fav main weapons are the Rapier/Werebane (they are very useful when you do a hadouken motion) type and the Flame Whip because of the flame eye-candy.

Crisaegrim is cool but cheap.

Sub-weapons count too! I love Boomerangs as I'm sure a lot of the Dungeon does!

It's not made of leather. it's a chain whip like the others. however it is quite weapon as it does a lot of damage on Richter when you fight him. My favorite weapon is obviously the Vampirekiller. That wonderfully powerful 8 foot, chain whip with a spiked ball at the end. No other game during the time of CV's conception had ever used such a weapon for game design. it was original and it worked well to make the Belmonts and Castlevania in general, stand out from all the rest.

Well said. It definitely makes it its own. I guess I wanted that whip to be leather too much! Ahhh but I did use it against richter as well. Since it he is weakened by dark, is richter holy? Dumb question but I gotzta kno!

Yeah, all belmonts are holy, also I only noticed that they give equips to battle Whip Memory properly AFTER I killed him using Javelins, I didnt even knew about the joke sub-weapons in POR at that time XD

If you say that Christopher doesnt gets enough love, then Soleiyu is hated. In OoE they say that the Belmonts stopped fighting evil after they losed their ability to resist evil, but thats bullshit, since this happened before with Soleiyu, they make it sound like Richter is the first Belmont to be brainwashed. Atleast his flying swords/daggers attack reappeares in CotM when Hugh uses it.

No one ever makes mention of poor Soleiyu.
They should too make a game where he is the absolute protagonist, it's kind of a debt history has with him
