Speculation about Blackmore (now with MP3 goodness inside)

Blackmore is one of the bosses of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

Blackmore's music is "Chamber of Ruin", used by Wallman first (but let's forget about that for a second).

Blackmore is wearing a Deep Purple jacket (literally a deep purple; an indigo color)

Now, let's do a little comparison!

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia - Chamber Of Ruin
Play this until the 35th Second, where it hits the jamming "Amen Break" Percussion part.

Now... compare!
Ritchie Blackmore - Concerto Solo

That is Ritchie Blackmore, from the band "Deep Purple", and his solo is done in exactly the same key as his Ecclesia counterpart's boss tune; a jazzy Blues G.

Reference or Homage, perhaps?

File this under "We already knew this" if you already knew... but it's news to me. :P

Last time I checked (which is just before this reply) Indigo is more in the blue spectrum.

Oh yeah, also this:
Chamber of Ruin - Castle Boss Battle - Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

With download link here:
**clicky**

Random aside:  Doesn't this also sound similar to the Bigger Boss Battle from Yoshi's Island?  It is also on the same "Jazzy G" Blues Scale, and has the same funky organs.
Super Mario World 2: Boss

Already saw the reference, but didn't compare the songs. Nice job.

Considering "Dwelling of Doom" was a kind of tribute to Yngwie Malmsteen, yeah, it could be possible.

The Chamber of Ruin also has some part that sounds similar to the NES Contra stage 2 BGM.

Sweet I love these sorts of references.
Brings to mind the bosses from Thunder Force V who are all named after classic bands including the first boss "Deep Purple"
"Stuff and things."

Does this count as reference?

I know this is old.

I guess the inspiration had to have come from somewhere.
