IGA's profile for a past Konami Seminar

I just found this while doing some googling. I don't know if this has been posted here before.

http://www.konamischool.jp/archives/030seminar/200708/022200.php

Since my brain is on sleep-mode now, I won't be translating the entire thing.

I just find it interesting that his hobbies were listed.
He goes on drives with his family during holidays, going to karaoke with his kid(s), watching 3 movies per month.
But he is really into making silver accessories.
And he still loves to play games and he plays seriously even if his enemy is a kid, because he is a pro.

There's also the last part of the page where he gives his message to those who want to create games.
Please just use google translate.
Even if I know that google is not good at translating Japanese, just to get an idea of what he is saying.

Thanks, its really interesting

Translated with Google (please, acess the page anyway, since it better to read the rest too):

Do you have a message for those who aim creators.

The work of game creators, useful any knowledge.
Study up to high school in even useful, and even casual everyday life, that even experience playing with my friends, I went to the travel even, very helpful. Because anything useful, that you experienced as well as being in the interest of their own, many things are important.
And it where they always feel something is important.
Please a habit to absorb greedily from what each.

There are users in the product called game.
Hundreds of thousands of people is me playing when I was directed to the whole world.
There are people who say "interesting" things that I made.
It can even have effects on the person's life.

I thinks it's "work that deserves to'll whole life" this work.

Really cool!
Those things speak well about him as a person.
I'm saving it now!

Thanks for sharing it!  :)

IGA always came across as a genuinely good guy with a genuine, strong love for Castlevania. It's refreshing to see this. I guess it was something I took for granted.

I wonder what he's up to these days?

He is in a slumber, waiting for when Castlevania rises and he is needed again.

I remember the first time I played in a arcade, I've seen a fighting game with realistic graphics and spend my money to play in it one time (money that isnt supossed to that, but since its money for fun anyway...), I was happy trying to discover how to play it properly when a boy comes and start playing it as P2. This game is named Mortal Kombat, at this time I didnt even knew how to do magic in fighting games (hadouken, sonic boom, nothing) so the result of this battle is very clear. lol

Come what may, Iga or not, I need someone to emulate Michiru Yamane, and I need sprites and RPG elements.

What you need is a metroidvania, that is arguably, not a true Castlevania. Have you heard of Guacamelee? it's is awesome.

Come what may, Iga or not, I need someone to emulate Michiru Yamane, and I need sprites and RPG elements.
I think the word "emulate" needs to be banned from Castlevania from now on.
