I had an idea, why doesn't the forum start sprite contests?

Ever month I think the forum members should have a poll on what character, theme etc. and we could vote.

Then maybe, the moderators vote...?

I don't know what we could do for rewards...maybe a special icon or promotion type?

Does any mods or anyone want to chip in on the idea?

I think this would be super fun, and we would get a lot of participation from the dungeon!

It'd be really fun! But like I said, we'd need more mods for the contests.

I would love to see spritework. More possible references for me for future cross stitch projects. 
I think both the members of the forum and the mods (we have enough mods, I think too many mods would spoil the forum) vote for the winner (there will be a cutoff date for voting). If there is a tie, then Jorge shall judge. hehehe.
As for the reward, ask Jorge.

Well, I guess we would need mod(s) to come up with a poll each month that the members could vote on and then the dungeon would pick the Castlevania theme for each month to sprite, via i.e. original spin on a character from the CV Universe to full backgrounds, or even other ideas, like a original SOTN spell for Alucard.

The dungeon would have a month to sprite and submit their submissions. I think a 1-3rd place and Honorable Mentions would suffice.

I think special winner icons would work for rewards unless the mods can think of something cooler..

Not only creating new sprites, but ALSO editing older ones.

Sprite comics and the such would be cool too.

Maybe people should just start designing the icons then the mods could pick their favorites to use so we can get these contests started!

You mean besides the fact that you're designing the Award.

So the prize for designing that Award is... that that award becomes the de-facto Award people get when they successfully design something for future Sprite Contests?
Needless to say, you also earn your own award being part of the board by winning this contest.

Examine the awards on the left, in the profile info of my post, here.  That should give you a clue about the dimensions for the award (they're a sprite size or smaller, so anything from 16x16 up until about 32x24 or so).
