if you watched the new years eve show that last few years it wont shock ya to know he died. He was lookin rough. It broke my heart to see him on there the last 2-3 years in the shape he was in. Now we have to put up with seacrest by himself lol

Oh so that's Dick Clark. I needed a face to go with the name before I could recognize him. If I'm not mistaken he along with Ed McMahon were doing those publisher's clearing house sweepstakes commercials back in the 80's.

Dick did American Bandstand, $10,000/$25,000/$100,000 Pyramid game shows, and yes he and Ed McMahon did the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes for many a years.

I grew up watching the Pyramid shows, and AB, and had to deal with the PCH Sweepstakes ads for a number of years, but nothing but respect for Mr. Clark. He and Don Cornelius were the pimps of music dance shows.
