... As in, fill in the bathtub and sit in it while washing?
Totally off-topic, I wonder how many people do that. Frankly, I don't remember taking a bath since I was a small child. It's not my thing and it seems like a waste of time to me. I just take short showers.

Do you do that?

I'm 6'4" and don't have a tub big enough so I just shower, and even then I have to stoop.  One day I will have a showerhead that is above me...

I've not washed myself in a tube for a good many years now. I'll shower and my body is cleaned off during that time. But occasionally I will fill a tube full of almost hot water (not enough to burn me) and just soak in it till I feel like coming out. Sometimes I'll be relaxed enough that I will drift off to sleep. But that's what happens when you soak in really warm water.

Does being on holiday count?
If I'm at a resort/ hotel with a massive spa or tub which has one in the bathroom I would (the last time was 2013) but I wouldn't be using it by myself.

The last time I had a bath at home would've been when I was around 14. I need to be under pressure, I really can't go back to "Tub Life".

I haven't taken baths in many years. Just showers now.

But I was unemployed for a few months many years ago. I took a hot bath almost every night back then.

I read Crime and Punishment almost exclusively in the bath tub. It's a great place to read. Another book I read in the bath was Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I strongly suggest that! And The Wind Up Bird Chronicles by him is great too. Yeah man. I miss my book and bath days.

I did fall asleep once in the bath and I woke up in cold water hours later. It was a "what the fuck?" moment for sure. luckily my book didn't fall in the water.

I feel a little like a weirdo telling you guys that. But it's true.

I feel weird that I didn't feel weird reading it :P

It's all good, the dungeonites are all ears, eyes and any other organs that weren't created to be permanently submersed into water.  :)

I'm in the same boat as the rest of you...I haven't taken a bath for years, not since I lived at home back in high school. But we didn't have a shower in the house (well, there was one upstairs, but it didn't work for years).

One thing that I loved and hated about baths was that hot water always made me so comfortable that I never wanted to get out. I'd sit there and procrastinate getting out of the tub, because I didn't want to face the (relatively) cold air.  :-\
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I am not fond of bathtubs since I always viewed it as a waste of water.
Showers are much faster.

After a long workday, nothing like coming home and sitting in a tub of really warm water. Helps soothe the muscles, and relaxes you.

Bathtub aren't very common here and normally if you have one, you surely have a lot of money. Showers are the way here.

The contemporary bathroom is far too small to accommodate a large tub imho. I'm not an overly large person, but I'm around 6ft tall and it's difficult to fit into a tub if you have longer limbs or a broader back and shoulders.

I am actually more prone to baths now than showers. Part of the reason is crippling depression...some days I can't even muster the energy to stand for the 30-45 minutes it takes me. And that brings me to my next reason for baths - I take a long flippin' time in the shower, as I just said (30-45 minutes). That's a lot of water to use compared to the 15 or so gallons it takes to fill up my tub. It's not like I just get in there & stare at the wall or anything frivolous like that. It just takes me a while to manage my hair (the longest section tips the bottom of me bum) & everything else, partly because of OCD. Also, my feet are all jacked up from a job I had in 2007, so it's hard for me to stand for periods of time longer than 20-25 minutes. I...am a mess...but hey, baths feel good at least, like Bloodreign said. And those LUSH bath bombs? Amazing.
