Title: Final Fantasy XV - Update Road Map
Post by: Claimh Solais on December 07, 2016, 12:26:07 AM
I dunno if any of you have gotten around to playing FFXV, but if you've beaten it, I'm pretty sure many of you thought the second half of the game was a complete mess, Chapter 13 in particular. Well, Tabata is aware of this, and has confirmed this: Due to the positive reception of the game and the massive sales they've made, they are substantially increasing the amount of updates they are planning for the game. (http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-update-roadmap-detailed-additional-playable-characters-event-scenes-avatar-system-consideration)

As follows:
-Chapter 13 will be revamped entirely, so it's not so god damn awful. In particular, the Ring of the Lucii will be buffed up so that it doesn't suck so much and wind up as the most underwhelming weapon in the entire game.

-The latter half of the game will be receiving more cutscenes to flesh it out, complete with full voice acting. If you've beaten the game, you're aware the latter half of the story, just like the game, was a broken, incoherent mess. Well, Tabata plans to fix that.

-Additional playable characters are planned for the main game. I'm assuming this means Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio will now be playable. But one could hope that the other temporary party members like Cor will be playable as well.

-We might be getting the ability to create our own characters.

-Other long-term updates are planned to keep players interested.

-New Game + will be added, which might add in additional items and gameplay modification options (like setting level caps and such).

-New boss battles planned, and limited time hunts. Daily hunts and such are a possibility.

-DLC schedule confirmed:
--------1. Holiday Pack (possibly this month? Boss battle against Square CEO, NG+, etc.)
--------2. Booster Pack (I'm guessing next month, no idea what this is)
--------3. Episode Gladiolus (DLC story where you play as Gladio, possibly during the random time he leaves your party)
--------4. Episode Ignis (DLC story where you play as Ignis, possibly his point-of-view during Altissia)
--------5. Episode Prompto (DLC story where you play as Prompto, possibly his point-of-view during the late game events)
--------6. War Buddy Expansion (Online co-op expansion pack)

While I enjoyed the hell out of the game and its my contender for GOTY 2016, the game has wrought with problems. MASSIVE problems. Seems Square has every plan to fix them, which is a very good thing. Let's see what happens, eh? What are all y'all's thoughts?

I am waiting for the update for the 2nd part but dang, please do not make it more than 9GB crown update... that shit took me 5 hours to download. T_T Or maybe not.... god... how many hours would I waste waiting.... T_T
Hahaha at least the tiny font issues will be addressed, I have to play sitting 2 feet in front of the 32"TV

What about the camera issues? We are not friends. I already set it to far but when there are trees..... I'm fighting blind and I know the dungeons would be much more difficult. I haven't entered in any yet. I'm still in Chap 1 and taking it way too slow (free time issues irl).
And what about the TVs that are older which cut off part of the right hand side of the screen? At least for my TV, I still see the full HP bars and the map, but it cuts off at that place.

Yeah I am aware of Chap 13 being a big hot mess. *reddit*

Hmmm... I'm just a newbie in the PS4 world, anyone please answer this question.
If I am downloading a patch for the same game I'm playing, can I play the game while the patch is downloading?

The sad part is that this could easily be fixed by doing what most games do and allow you to see silhouettes of your characters and enemies when behind trees. No word on if this will be fixed.

As far as I'm aware, yes? I think it's just that the game can't be played online, which the game doesn't have anyway (yet). I'm not sure if it pauses the download or not.

I'm still fixated if it's good or not, from a perspective that I enjoyed the Action RPG Final Fantasy games (Crisis Core, Type-0 (though, something was definately lost in the HD version))
Will I enjoy this one, and, How well does it perform (the Demo ran like ass on Xbox One)?

I played the full version on Xbox One. Runs at a solid 30 FPS the whole way through, save for when you get to Altissia, where it drops down to like 20 only for a few minutes where you walk around. When the action starts there it jumps back up to 30.

I've yet to encounter any glitches or anything.

the longterm DLC might save and redeem it if it adds playable female characters, female avatar creation, and more, the lore and timeline has lots of room and possibilities before and after the time the current story takes place,

http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-update-roadmap-detailed-additional-playable-characters-event-scenes-avatar-system-consideration (http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-update-roadmap-detailed-additional-playable-characters-event-scenes-avatar-system-consideration)

the true complete FFXV has yet to be established, so until then, not interested until they give more what more fans want out of it, by then, it could even be at a discount sale perhaps FFXV might eventually transform into the single player equivalent of FFXIV, where people can play in FFXV world with their own preferred created character and expanded and improve things about it (look at the FFXV npcs, they could be used as assets for character creation, and FFXV NPC models look better than FFXIV's, male and female character creation for FFXV world in single player would be AWESOME).

there is potential to make FFXV a game for more types of FF fans.  Even Tabata must be aware that current FFXV is below the standards and ignores a large part of the fanbase (it's really Tetsuya Nomura's fault, he made FFXV theme about brotherhood and nothing else, which is stupid and sexist and something that's done too much in a lot of videogames, including military shooters.), so the longterm DLC expansions and features and improves could transform and evolve it into a FF more would be interested in

FFXV is currently a mess and below FF fans standards
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1322896 (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1322896)

FFXV really is a disgrace and disaster in its current state, turning its back on a large part of the fanbase
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1322843 (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1322843)

but the DLCs and add ons and patches could fix at least some of it, or most of it, especially if it has great avatar creation options like FFXIV has.   Like I said, FFXV does have outstanding graphics and animations, so they really could make FFXV more for more people instead of just one demographic.

I said it before, but it was obvious FFXV was going to be rejected by a larger amount of people, especially with how disrespectful and inconsiderate it (and its movie) is towards female characters, female roles and females in general.

Maybe they will make playable Luna episode, and the avatar creation open world aspect could storywise take place after FFXV story, I haven't read much spoilers, but I think there could still be monsters and new villains they could add to the world, so it's not exactly peaceful after the previous plot.

I love Xenoblade X and it is great news FFXV might potentially be transcended into a much greater and open videogame where players can play as whatever they want and look more how they want.

The battle system could get a upgrade too, adding things like leader switching and more.  ;D

they do have a foundation of gameplay that has great potential, there is great ways they can fix it and make it more open.  It's already obvious they suck at storytelling, but character creation, and giving females strong playable roles, could really add 100s of hours and purchase incentives to it.

Things like patches and fixes that come with DLCs should not be an issue to begin with. Games (no matter the company that makes them) should not be leaving the factory floor until virtually everything has been fixed and polished. Just like in the pre-iternet days. There's a unhealthy trend that's been going on for quite a while now, where companies will just ship out a game early in order to bank on sales. And not care if it has bugs or other related problems. "worry not. We have the internet! We can solve all these problems in the next release..." I call bulls**t on this kind of mentality. It's disgraceful. It's lazy. Bethesda is one of those companies that thinks this way. And there are others that have since fallen suit. If I ran a company this would absolutely NOT happen. It would be unacceptable and frowned upon. I much prefer quality over quantity. I'd rather release a product that I can be proud to have made, and one that the fans can be proud to own. While the internet has proven to be a boon to the gaming industry, it has also proven to be a crux as well.
Title: Re: Final Fantasy XV - Update Road Map
Post by: Claimh Solais on December 07, 2016, 10:23:52 AM
The issue is a good chunk of the fan-base. For example, take Tekken 7. The game has been in development for consoles for a looooooong time. And you have a huge chunk of the fighting game fan-base saying "Just release the game early and add the extra characters and stuff in later as a free update."

Street Fighter V does exactly that. And people do nothing but complain about them releasing an unfinished game (shit netcode aside).

It was the same issue with this game. Being that I hung out with a lot of the FF fan-base during this game's development, a lot of people were urging Square to just release it already. Game was announced as delayed? People got mad. So after a while, they finally announced a September 30 release date. People were ecstatic. And then they announced it would be delayed to November 29. And people were pissed. A lot of the fans actually cussed out Squeenix and personally insulted Tabata a lot of the time.

And now the game is finally out, and now people are complaining about it being unfinished. Tabata even talked about this, stating that he wanted Niflheim's invasion of Insomnia (as seen in the Kingsglaive prequel film) to actually be a large part of the game, but completing it might have pushed the game's development back some year or two. As a result, it was taken out and a movie was made about it instead.

Squeenix made a stupid decision back in 2006 to announce this game before any actual work was done on it, and Tabata did the best he could with what he had when he got handed the reins in 2012. His team was under a lot of pressure to get the game out, and with fans being continually impatient, if they kept delaying it, it could've hurt potential sales with waning interest (they are a business first and foremost, and making money is the name of the game for any business).

I'm not being an apologist for the game, as while I did enjoy it, the game was riddled with problems (particularly in the back half. I had almost zero problems with the front half. Chapter 13 is abysmal and made me very noticeably angry from how bad it was), but game development simply isn't the same as it was back in the 90's or early 2000's. Building a game from the ground up is simply a much heavier task these days, and games will almost always get stuck with deadlines whether consumers or the developers like it or not.

And that being said, at least Tabata and his team are addressing the issues, which is a lot more than what can be said about most developers. Take for example, Hello Games. They stayed silent about No Man's Sky for months. Assassin's Creed: Unity is still a broken mess and Ubisoft clearly has no intention of fixing it after two years. FFXV has been out for only a week, and Tabata has promised to add a lot more to the game and fix it up so that it could be much more enjoyable.

Also, irrelevant to the topic, but this

If I ran a company this would absolutely NOT happen. It would be unacceptable and frowned upon. I much prefer quality over quantity. I'd rather release a product that I can be proud to have made, and one that the fans can be proud to own.

is pretty easy to say when you're not in charge of a billion-dollar multi-national company. With how big Squeenix is, it's absolutely no surprise stuff like this would happen. Other examples would be Ubisoft and EA. Promises are made but aren't always kept, and sometimes the one who makes the promise isn't even at fault.

It's all about the money.... (I know there's a Noct pic with this circulating online)
"Please your shareholders and piss off your fans, but hey, they already bought it anyway. $$$"
It seems every game company is going the EA and Ubisoft route.

I said it before, but it was obvious FFXV was going to be rejected by a larger amount of people, especially with how disrespectful and inconsiderate it (and its movie) is towards female characters, female roles and females in general.

Hmmm... I didn't find it disrespectful to females in general. Maybe it is just me, but I found Luna having strong inner strength in the movie.
As for the purchase decision, I lean towards male characters and the more ikemen they are, the better it is. An entire party of ikemen characters = heaven~♪ (Inner fujoshi speaking ignore this)

As did I. However, she's horribly underused in the game. Like many others, she hardly has any screentime. A huge example of the bare-bones barely-there story in the latter half of the game.

Ah, well, I haven't progressed there yet. But I'd take your word for it.
The game should have been delayed even more. We've already waited for 10 years, what's another one? Hahaha! I totally forgot that this game will come out this year until the media hype in the months leading up to the release.

Fans should stop buying into the hype and buy games when they are finished instead of playing this stupid game of first kid on the block to have the new thing. Companies have noticed this willingness to drop cash on a promise and a smile and are exploiting it.

That aside, I have always hated the lean towards this kind of gameplay in the mainline FF series and now it is exactly where I feared it would go. This is only compounded by the fact that SE is apparently incapable of telling a coherent story anymore.

To hell with Final Fantasy. Give me more Bravely Default and port the mobile FF games to console or steam.

PS- SE, please stop half-assing your ports so we don't have to mod every game you release just so our eyes don't bleed.

And this is why I am going through FF IV complete on my PSTV again now. Sure, the mechanics may "seem" outdated, but the game sure looks a lot better than when it first came out...and more to the point, I have fun, and love the pacing...

I'm not a fan of this real-time action RPG that the series has become, and hence am not really looking forward to the  FF VII remake either...Pining for the classic JRPG feel still, but I doubt we'll see much of those days from Square Enix ever again...

And I can remember a time when you'd never see a Final Fantasy game with ratings under an average of 9/10 or 90%.  I miss those days as well...

Update patch 1.03 finally fixed my tv screen issue and Cid can now upgrade multiple weapons simultaneously.
Since I still haven't finished the game yet, I can't comment on the NG+ but reddit users say the NG+ is fail because it is just the same easy/normal diffficulty. I suppose you only want to do the NG+ for blitzing through the story again. Unless they put another upgrade to this when January rolls around with the Carnival event.

And because I'm an idiot, I forgot to access the PS store to get the Holiday pack. Oh well, I'll just DL it after Christmas.

Got the free holiday pack and so far the only thing I'm using is the accessory that grants 1 AP for each offensive A+ score.

I wonder how will they implement the carnival event next year.
I hope it is applicable offline.

I think the only way it's going to stop is if the government itself intervenes and lays down some stringent laws about shoddy products being released. I'm not really a fan of governments per se, but in this case it wouldn't hurt to reign in those corporations and put them back on the sensible track.

The governments have bigger problems than this.
We can't do anything about it. Corporations will do what they do.

If only that were the case. Corporations themselves are a big problem if left unchecked. The government itself is the entity meant to govern the people and the country, yet we have many corporations that have grow so big and spread out so far that they can even supersede the governments. The Oil & Gas industry is just one example of this sad tale. They dictate to us, the people, what we can and cannot use for energy consumption. And new technologies are forcibly suppressed by them (even to the point of death) in order for them to continue to make a profit. So I have to  politely disagree with you on this one. Corporations need to be rung in so that they don't get anymore out of hand.

Weyland + Yutani (though fictitious) is a perfect example of a corporation that has moved beyond the government's influence and intervention to protect the people which is why it is such a dangerous entity.

Apologies if this is getting off-topic.

That's on the consumers, not the government. Companies continue to get away with releasing shoddy products because the consumers are very willing to buy them. It's why the phrase "vote with your wallet" exists. This isn't like with gas or oil. When it comes to video games, there very much are alternatives. There are a lot of shoddy incomplete games, yes, but many polished and complete games also exist.

I understand what you're saying. But if the government is in cahoots with corporations, who will do the wringing?
The next month's update will bring this back on topic, when I get my hands on it.

Well, a lot of consumers are gullible. If a few vote with the wallet and the rest just go with the flow, nothing happens.

This isn't exactly an update but there is a youtube video of the Japan only audio drama cd for the prologue of FFXV with English subtitles. This has the same content of the novella  (http://cdn.sqexeu.com/files/ff15/main_site/public/novella/FFXV_Novel_ENG.pdf) that was released last December, but hearing it is much better, i think.
If you want more back story aside from the Kingsglaive movie or the Brotherhood anime, here it is.

New Active Time Report!
This is a recap.

FFXV shipped over 6 millions. This includes both physical and digital.

2/21 Update 1.05 will include:

2. Limited time quests (hunts, fishing will be added in the future) Wheeee~ More fishing!
3. Level cap will be increased from 99 to 120. Note: you cannot save exp pre-patch to level post-patch. Pre-patch exp will be invalid toward levels over 99.
4. Photo limit - 200. Finally! But the carnival would be over by then.... /sad
5. A new MP3 item will be added to Regalia's shop which will allow you to listen to music while riding Chocobos. YES!

Booster Pack DLC Paid will include - 1. Booster Sword 2. Dragon Mod (Fishing rod) 3. New fishing reel 4. Plus other additions

Booster Pack Free will include - 1. Invincible suits. Date for the free version of the DLC will be announced at a later date because of they look like Power Rangers and copyright issues.

3/28 Episode Gladio DLC
3/28 An update to the game will be made to improve the story aspects of the game, specially with Chapter 13. Other various upgrades and fixes will also be included. Hahahaha! Lucky I got a save file just before the start of chapter 13~!

Episode Gladio will focus on combat.
Episode Prompto will focus on story and character development, showing a side of Prompto we have yet to see. This will be released by June.

They are working on to add off-road driving. But no promises are made. but it's one of the ambitions they have to add to the game. They showed off test footage of free driving with added new mechanics. It was running on PC as it was a dev kit, but it is still buggy so it's in no condition to release yet.

Platinum Demo will finish distribution on 3/31. Grab it if you want to rename Carbuncle to your liking.

Additionally, Tabata says the team wants to put out a survey in the near future. They’ll use this survey to gather feedback from fans and players the world over, so they can continue to improve the game into a satisfactory experience. That said, there’s currently no plans for another ATR – it’ll depend on the demand from the players. Distribution of new information will be provided through other means for the time being.

new survey is up!!

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/final-fantasy-15-survey-asks-you-to-help-shape-the/1100-6447884/?utm_source=gamefaqs&utm_medium=partner&utm_content=news_module&utm_campaign=homepage (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/final-fantasy-15-survey-asks-you-to-help-shape-the/1100-6447884/?utm_source=gamefaqs&utm_medium=partner&utm_content=news_module&utm_campaign=homepage)

this could be great, now a lot of FF fans can suggest adding good playable female character creation for single player besides multiplayer,

female protagonist option (hey Fallout 4 and Mass Effect series shows even talkactive protagonists can still be very customizable right down to their sex and race.and even story and relationship deep SRPGs like Fire Emblem Fates feature protagonist identity customization )

and they make it possible to make any NPC playable and addable to the party (like Luna, Cor and anyone else that has a ingame model. Uncharted 2 did allow a lot of npcs to be playable for the whole campaign, and voice can be toggled.)

http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-update-roadmap-detailed-additional-playable-characters-event-scenes-avatar-system-consideration (http://gematsu.com/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-update-roadmap-detailed-additional-playable-characters-event-scenes-avatar-system-consideration)

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/final-fantasy-xv-dlc-playable-luna-being-considered-says-producer-566077 (http://www.idigitaltimes.com/final-fantasy-xv-dlc-playable-luna-being-considered-says-producer-566077)

the character creation is still in early stages, so FFXV can add good female customization and settings,
plus they are editing the story, so adding a female version of the story, is more possible than making the later half totally open world.  it's just a matter of editing cutscenes and revoicing line and stuff.

but overall, people could still change how FFXV is played and experienced with lots of different playable characters and fully customizable protagonist.

and those that like FFXV as is, don't need to use those options/features, though those things would convince lot more to buy and play FFXV their own style.

heck, even if FFXV plot goes untouched, the character creation system could be used in single player as a free mode of the single player campaign, and also could get its own DLC sequel chapter to the story that utilizes the current world contents.  maybe could even be a prequel.

though if they also add playable Luna DLC, it could be a prequel, and she could have her own car and party members.

lots of possibilities!!

it is very interesting how FFXV has potential to evolve into a greater game more would be interested in.

perhaps they are also beginning to learn from Skyrim, which lets players be whatever the player themselves want.

FFXI and FFXIV are massively successful, and it shouldn't take a mmorpg to include lots of protagonist creation options, with free choice in sex, appearance, race and more.

FFXV already has all the assets to make even every npc playable.

and they probably could adapt Stella to playability status as well.  playing as Stella would sure would be actually awesome instead of some noodle cup hat.
though yea they really should restrict what players can play as.   and it should be featured in the single player in its entirety, besides its multiplayer.

they have to get a clue that a massive amount of players aren't going to buy/play FFXV until it has very attractive female protagonist to play as for the entire game without restrictions, and the greater the selection and quality aethestics options, the greater the incentives to start playing it.

almost no one would care to subscribe to FFXIV if it's protagonist selection was like FFXV's.  and Skyrim is played to this day, with gamers appreciating the wealth of freedom and players can be whatever sex, appearance, and race they wanna be.

So overall, FFXV should stop being misogynist and racist and start letting players decide what the lead protagonist is, and the type of characters they want to party with.

it should all be fully customizable.

I mean heck, FFXIV allows you to even create your Retainers whatever you want.
(or RP wise, determine what kind of people you want for Retainers).

identity freedom and companions preference is very important.
The FFXV party members are not entirely bad, but they shouldn't be the only options!!

Noctis should have option to be female and a princess, and the lore should allow a female descendant to be the successor as queen.

there's already lots of examples how story and character deep RPGs (and SRPGs), feature totally customizable protagonist, and character dialogue adapting to it.

especially with FFXV production values, there's no excuse limiting it to just glorifying one demographic, they wind up limiting their sales and fanbase in the process.

even Pokemon and Fire Emblem have evolved tradition to feature playable female protagonist option, and they received much more popularity and success.

like its common sense.   character creation is not only a multiplayer thing,
basically Dungeons and Dragons pencil and paper game itself, established that RPGs should always allow the player character to be whatever the player theirself wants.  No one else determines what the player plays as, it's totally up to the player.

and these days, with tech and stuff, games are more capable of allowing more customization, with quality models than before.  and still have solid storytelling and character interactions.

the devs just gotta be more open minded and be considerate towards all demographics, both sexes, and at least the 3 most common races/ethnicities (asian, caucasian, and black)

well yea as for changing protagonists race, hey, does FFXV even show anything about Regis's wife?  she could be any race.

well anyways, there's the scoop, let's see if they really care about the fanbase as a whole instead of just the dudebro misogynists.

the character creation systems, and how they are added, and how they change/affect the single player, and stuff, will determine if FFXV will become something worth buying and playing.

as for the story, at this point, FFXV can still be saved with more customization and gameplay freedoms.

they have a chance to transform FFXV into the Skyrim of FF games, letting players play as whatever they want, utilize all the locations, and have fully customizable party selection, and freedom to have any character playable as well as addable to the party as well as playing as any character.   there's a lot they can learn from FFXIV fundamentals (the current most profitable and played FF, aside from FFXI.) to make it greater

they can really fix the game. they can make it a game for everyone, and it all starts with allowing the lead protagonist to be changable to whatever the player wants, based on player preference of sex, race and appearance.

Wow..... I am not labeling FFXV as a misogynist. That is too much accusation. Just because the party is all male doesn't mean the females in the game are weak damsels in distress.
Story Spoilers...
True the story wasn't written to be in your face (cut scenes were sparse and not that helpful) but the strength of the female characters are there.
(click to show/hide)

First things first, They won't edit the story, so the customized character will have not affect the story in any way. I think they are adding that custom character solely for the multiplayer dlc which will be the last of the dlcs in the season pack.

But if you really want a female Noct, you'd have to wait until they release the game for PC and Tabby said that they will supply a mod pack. Now the problem is the long wait and the hardware requirements.

If I recall correctly they might add more playable DLCs starring the female characters aside from the 3 bros that were already announced. But it will not be released this year. Luna DLC would most likely be her journey

Labeling FFXV as "misogynist" just because all the lead characters are male is a real stretch there. As Shiroi pointed out, the female characters in FFXV are VERY strong, and in a lot of cases, far stronger than all the male characters.

And racist? I mean, it's a fictional world. With fictional races. Again, stretching there.

Final Fantasy has always had a very diverse cast of characters. FFXV is the only one that does not, and that's simply because the game is a very personal journey for Noctis. He is from Lucis, as are his three friends, so all four characters are Lucis born-and-raised.

In addendum, for the racist argument, Weskham would like to have a word with you.

Technically Noct, Iggy and Gladio are Insomnia born and raised. Prompto was born elsewhere but was raised in Insomnia.

Right, I haven't played A King's Tale yet, so I keep forgetting about Weskham. lol
I know he's in the main game but his role is bigger in AKT.

And I keep forgetting about Prompto being born elsewhere cuz they just kinda glazed over it in the game.

LOL at the plot twists that happened in game. At that stage in the game I'm also on the same page as Noct.
But I think they did it that way because of the mandate of the higher ups (Sell them DLCs) and we'll be getting a Prompto DLC. I'm having my hopes up for more story.

I just haven't put time aside for King's Tale yet. I played the first few stages and it's a pretty fun beat-em-up so I'll be going back to it eventually.

And man, the whole plot falls apart in the latter half, Chapter 13 being absolutely abysmal. They're supposedly adding several cutscenes to flesh out the story and revamping Chapter 13 as a whole, so I'm interested in seeing what they're going to do.

Hahaha, I forgot to mention that I caved in and bought the Season Pass and the other pre-order stuff that I did not get (Royal Raiment is the best outfit) during the Lunar New Year week (because discount) and was able to download the Holiday Pack+; I am particularly fond of the Blitzer's Fanfare and Key of Prosperity.

Anyway....
The 1.05 update dropped and so did the Booster Pack+

Oh my, I love the limited time hunt and replayed it 9 times, hahaha. I think I had my fill of killing 900 cactuars/slactuars with warp strikes @9999 damage thanks to the new booster pack sword Ragnarok. This hunt can only be accessed if your PS4 is connected to the internet.

======
Anyway, "A King's Tale" will be available to free to everyone on March 1. Pixel art! WHee~

While waiting for the update to download, I played this game where I left off and I was at the final boss stage when the update finished. Hahaha. I will continue it next time while waiting for another update to finish downloading.

Another timed hunt dropped today: Malboro and Malborodoom, darn I only have 3 ribbons, who will I sacrifice? I'll think about it tomorrow. haha.

Bug report?
Since the 1.05 patch, while playing the game I've noticed my PS4 stutters in some parts (it never stuttered before); the fishing music has this weird swoosh sound effect that wasn't there before and I think it shouldn't really be there; and when travelling long distances, suddenly there's a loading screen then it's gone.
And they still did not fix the falling into the sky bug. It happened to me twice in a menace dungeon. The first time it happened, I have to restart the dungeon (it was just keycatch trench, so easy peasy) and the second time (at glacial grotto) it was aborted by a warp strike or some random attack since there are still enemies on the room and I was able to continue on.

A co-worker of mine also has the same issues (except for the falling into the sky thing, I don't think he attempted the menace dungeons) and he says that when he's playing other games, there's no problem.

I haven't quite gotten back into FFXV. Have they done the patch that fixes Chapter 13 yet?
I'm mostly curious about when they're doing the story update with the new cutscenes. I've been looking forward to that, and saving my replay for that time. I'm guessing probably when Episode Gladio drops at the earliest, though.

The story patch will be out by March 28, the same day Episode Gladio drops. I just hope that the update patch won't be too large.

The only thing I'm doing now are finishing the menace dungeons (3 more to go) and lots of fishing (must get all the fishies....). I've just defeated the Adamantoise today and got my first ever Platinum trophy. :)
The timed quests are good for doing it once since the current one gives 500AP for finishing. Much better than doing the AP farming thingy.

And frame rate dropped again when I was catching the bizarre barramundi. I landed the fish with no worries but the render on the screen was so blurry.

On other news. I found a new channel on youtube cooking FFXV inspired dishes. Here's a sample.

The new timed quest is...
Lv140 Dread Behemoth

Rewards:
30,000 EXP
999 AP
1.25 Million GIL
Requirement: Chapter 15

This would be fun. haha.

Downloading time for both the update patch 1.07 and Episode Gladiolus took me around 4 hours.... /sigh
At least I finished A King's Tale and got some of the trophies.

I played Episode Gladio twice but I still haven't finished the trophy list. Replaying it soon.
The best thing that came from this is Gladio's "Rugged Attire". Thanks Squeenis. It shall be my default outfit for Gladio.

As for Chapter 13 Verse 2, people say it can be accessed from the main menu (special) provided you have finished the game. I'll get to it when I have time to play the game again.

The Ring of the Lucii is now super OP, I'm gonna use this more than warp strikes! Full on mage mode. Hahahaha. I'm sure those last 2 post game dungeons wouldn't stand a chance.

Downloaded patch 1.09 for 2 hours.

The new timed quest is a fishing contest vs the world. Oh boy, I can only play for a few hours. I just hope I'd get enough for the reward at the end of the quest week.

This game is turning into a mobile game.

Hahaha caught 151 fishes in an hour to rank at the 710th place worldwide! Wheee~ I got more than enough quest points to get the afrojack sword.

The current timed quest is a series of hunts which I won't do since I already got the sword and I'm not after duplicates unless the upcoming quest is easier. (psst... squeenix more fishing)

I love this game to bits and the updates only make it better. Of course, there are some problems, notably the lack of story about halfway through the game, but then again, it *is* an open world game, and those are never that big on story in the grand scheme of things. Can't wait for Episode Prompto!

I agree! I love that the updates are making the game better. Finally, the black mage build I'm using with the ring is now viable, especially for the harder end game dungeons. Previously, I'm just DPSing my way through the game.

I do feel that the story is lacking (the more appropriate term might be "rushed") but I'm fine with it since I feel for the bros. And if I'm not mistaken that was the goal of the development team.

Episode Prompto, I think, will play like a shooter. And I believe it will have more feels attached to it.

I'm sure Episode Ignis will leave me in tears. Iggy~~~!!!

I must admit, although the story does feel rushed, I am fine with it for the very same reasons - the Chocobros. I mean, come on. What's not to love? Now if only Lunafreya could have been taken out of that equation and replaced that romance with a romance between Noctis and Prompto

Really looking forward to the Episodes, too. I bet they will be heartbreaking, much like the last part of the game... My only hope is that they'll reveal a bit more about the characters, as Episode Gladiolus, while great, didn't show us much we didn't already know.

Promptis is the best ship ever! Cinderella anyone? XD

I think there was less development time for episode Gladio. Is Gladio at the bottom of the fan poll for the bros? That might explain why there is not much story, since not much people would care about his life.

Right on, I'm such a Promptis fanboy! Don't care what anybody says, they're both just putting on an act because they're too afraid to make the first move. XD

I don't know - as far as I know, Gladio doesn't have as many fans in the west as he does in the east, though he's definitely not as popular as either Noctis or Prompto. Don't know how he fares against Ignis, however, poll-wise.

Gladio doesn't have much fans in Japan as seen in the results of the Famitsu poll (https://www.reddit.com/r/FFXV/comments/632lbk/ffxv_rated_by_famitsu_readers/).

Oh, that's really surprising! Ignis being more popular than Prompto and Gladio ranking that low... My Japanese friend informed me that Gladio was pretty well liked over there. Then again, personal bias... XD Well, that definitely explains the lack of character development for Episode Gladiolus, in addition to the limited time they had to make it.

Still, I'm glad three of the four Chocobros occupy the three first places. Noice~

Well, we can always think that there are two endings to FFXV, the bitter tragic one (we experienced) and the happy wedding end (alternate timeline). Proof (https://mobile.twitter.com/AlfheimWanderer/status/836732018402582528/photo/1)

At least I did not finish the game during Christmas or the New Year celebrations. Imagine that.

The alternate ending is the best one (wedding scene). Some people believe it is just a fantasy of Noct, but I prefer the alternate timeline approach. It makes me feel better. Plus the other games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis (before it all broke up into FFXIII, Type-0 and FFXV) are fond of using the alternate timelines/time loop thing.

I'm technically almost at 100% completion. I'm just farming MX Angelus since it still doesn't give me the damn Magitek V2 suit drop. grrr

I will try to get a good enough time to qualify for the top 5000 on Monday. LOL. Just for the "player tag" since I missed out on hunt round 1. I got the afrosword from the fishing quest and  was unaware that there are more tags for the hunt. The completionist in me is nagging.

That would have been terrible. Good thing you finished it after Christmas time~

Same here, it's a nice thing to imagine, so I'll just accept that as alternate timeline - even though it probably is just a fantasy of Noctis. The Japanese do love their symbolism.

I know that feeling, I also always aim for 100 % completion, no matter what. I just tend to take my sweet time with it, since I play more than one game at a time. Ah, the beauties of being a gamer. XD Now the only thing I have to wonder is why the sword is called "Afrosword"... Because whenever I imagine that, I imagine a sword with an afro-wig on it, but that can't be right. XD

The symbolism in this game is way too much. Even Noctis and Luna's fates are written in their names
(click to show/hide)
. I really loved the logo change at the end.

I played the game since the beginning of December and I took my time with it too. It is a game that plays better when played leisurely. It is the only game I'm playing on my PS4 since real life is more important.

It is called Afrosword because of Afrojack. It has a dj's turn table stuck on a sword handle and plays its own song when used in battle. I don't use it though. Just got it for completion's sake.

It is called Afrosword because of Afrojack. It has a dj's turn table stuck on a sword handle and plays its own song when used in battle. I don't use it though. Just got it for completion's sake.

Oh yes, but well, many Japanese games are heavy on the symbolism, so it's no wonder that FF does this on a constistent basis, as well~

Ah, that explains it. So basically, a sword that plays music. That's... I don't know. XD Ah well, I'll get it anyway, since I'm such a 100%-completion guy.

I'm hoping that they give the new outfit for free to season pass holders.

More updates, more outfits, additional story elements? Man, those are good news! The only problem is that I have absolutely no idea which if these I should vote for, because I'd like all of that to be included. Damn.

True. I wish they added an "Everything" button.
Here's hoping that they are planning to add everything in the list and are just surveying for priorities.

I've read from a jp blog that the jp version that the survey has more info, like for instance, the line of lucis deals with the history, how they got their powers, etc. For Ifrit's betrayal, it will deal with the story if the six gods. The world of ruin will deal with what happened 10 years after. And Noct's disappearance will deal with the story during his 10 years absence, i assume it has something to do with the bros than him.

If I have to choose one, I am torn between the line of lucis, ifrit's betrayal and the world of ruin.
Help.... hahaha.

Tell me about it, it was so hard to choose just one! But ultimately, I chose the World of Ruin, because I *really* want to know what happens post-story. I need to know if the Chocobros are all dead (again, heavy on the symbolism, so I tend more towards 'yes') or not.

I'll decide on monday when I get around to updating the game. 2 hours of waiting.... sigh.

Seems like many people really want to know what became of the characters~

2 hours of waiting is a long time - then again, updates on consoles always take much longer than on PC. I think I needed like 1 hour.

Duh. Those updates are supposed to be in the game anyway. But we know what happened during development...

My internet is crappy and early morning is the best connection time. That is the sole reason why I'm complaining. Still my estimate based on the given GB size of the update is 2 hours. Hopefully, it will be less than that.

Same here, I'm glad they're listening to the fans so actively. More games should do that, really, it'd mean more content for the fans and more money for the companies. A win-win situation.

Damn, of course it's Japan-only. They have all the good stuff...

Hahaha... i updated the game and forgot to vote. LOL.
I'll just vote before May ends.

As for the chibi chocobros, i read/watched a youtube video showcasing the full questline in that game and the story is endearing. awwww... In a jist, the bros got transported into a new world (the world of that mobile game) and met with the protagonist. Protag has dad issues since he and his dad don't see eye to eye. Noct assures him that even if their means to an end are different, their goal is the same. Then the portal opens and the bros leave.
Noct is a powerhouse in that game.

Anyway, new free item up at FFXV's PSN: Trendy Outfit.
"Sleek and stylish, this ensemble for Noctis features some of Lucis's hottest items: the Behemoth souvenir jacket, the King of Lucis pendant, and the Caelum watch!"

With Jacket : Designed to defend against stat-reducing status aliments.

No Jacket: Allows the wearer to move freely and land critical hits more easily.

Nice!

SquareEnix just concluded another 30th anniversary stream (just in Japanese, though).

There are some announcements regarding FFXV:
1. Episode Prompto will be released at the end of June and the story will be set
(click to show/hide)
. There will be a new gameplay system. The main theme is composed by Mizuta Naoshi (FFXI composer). More information will be announced on E3 next week.
2. The free June update will include the off road Regalia. clicky (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DB8zVjdVYAEmyey.jpg:large) and the cup noodle headgear for Noct. I wonder what the stats would be for that.

True. I want all FFXV! I think I'm also one of the hardcore FFXV fan but not necessarily a hardcore FF fan since I don't plan on playing the older titles. But the fun games like Dissidia and Theaterhythm, I play those.
In my definition, a hardcore FF fan is those guys who know everything about the entire series and have played most if not all titles.

And for more FFXV stuff, if you have a 3DS, Pictlogica FF will have a worldwide release on July 12, for FREE! Noctis will be in it along with the other FF characters. But i have no idea how he would be unlocked. If this works the same way as Pokemon Picross, then I might have an idea on how to get him, eventually.

Anyway, Episode Prompto has Aranea!!!! Oh yeah! I've seen the gameplay video and trailers and I think I can handle Metal Gear Prompto. hahaha.

I just got the game for my wife, and have been playing on the side.

Glad to hear they are considering adding off-road driving, considering how much time you spend on the road, the driving feels lackluster in manual mode...

It would be perfect if they added Splash Wave, Magical Sound Shower, and Passing Breeze to the car's music selection, though ;)

Just a warning, you both have to be present at chapter 14 since the title screen would change after beating the game and it will never revert back. It has more impact if both of you got hit by the feels.

I never used manual driving unless the story dictated so. I would just rather let Ignis drive, dabble with the music player and stare at Noct. Would the offroad Regalia replace the chocobo? Perhaps, unless they got rid of the chocobo rental mechanism. I hope there is a quest attached like for the flying Regalia. If Cindy would just give it out for free, I don't mind either.

I think they will keep on adding tracks to the music player. I need them to add the entire FFXV soundtrack there.

Thanks for the heads up!

I still have to say that if even half of what I've read is true,  I am still rather miffed that SE didn't make this a self-contained story. If you need to have watched the movie, for instance, to have an idea who certain characters and events were, or how they pertain to the present situation, it really detracts from the actual game itself from where I see things. So I'll probably watch the movie with my wife this weekend, as I can tell that certain character's I've encountered had some relevance that wasn't really touched upon in the game as of yet...

But still, it does bother me that I have to take away from my precious game playing time to do this...

I am still grateful that they seem to have made efforts to rectify the in-game story with cut scenes and more chapter 13 exposition (which I have yet to reach and play) , and I know that they took 10-plus years to make this and were already running late but it really seems rather shoddy to leave out such seemingly essential elements until after the game is released...just my 2 cents...
Title: Re: Final Fantasy XV - Update Road Map
Post by: Shiroi Koumori on June 23, 2017, 11:47:23 PM
I am blaming the SE executives for turning the game into what it is. But well, we do what we have to do.

I suggest watch the anime series first (free on youtube), then the movie, and watch the gameplay of the Platinum demo too (lots of them on youtube since it is no longer available on the PS store, if I'm not mistaken) and read the Parting Ways pdf book(free somewhere on the FFXV website, it was a JP audio drama but was never dubbed in English, so just deal with the pdf script). Hide the sidebar stuff on youtube cuz the ending might be there.... I was lucky I did all of those before I got the game last November. And got my mom on board. hahaha. We are both big fans.
And they will add more stuff cuz "the FFXV universe will keep on expanding" ~Squeenix on E3.

Oh another heads up, read everything in game, listen to all the radio broadcasts.... if you fail, well, there's the FFXV reddit for all the lore stuff you might have missed after finishing the game. It is imperative that you finish the game before going to reddit or spoilers galore!

Yet another heads up, in Chapter 13 when your party splits, please get the Noctis route. The alternate route can be accessed from the main menu anytime but the Noct route can only be accessed on that chapter. You would miss stuff if you chose the other one, even if the game says you can switch, DON'T.

Also keep a manual usb copy of your save files (don't trust PS+'s cloud storage according to others, I don't have PS+, so I don't care). The game has a possibility to do a forced shutdown error that might corrupt your save files. I have experienced 3 forced shut downs with one almost corrupting my save files but the game was able to restore them, whew. They might have fixed it with recent patches, but yeah, better be safe than sorry. Rotating save files on the save menu doesn't matter since FFXV saves everything on one file. The DLCs have a separate file.

They did not take 10 plus years. True, the game was announced 10 years back but the actual development was just for 3 years ish. Squeenix executives have to hire Tabata to clean up the mess that was FFXIII Versus and deliver this FFXV with a solid deadline and a sales projection of at least 5 million copies when PS4s and Xbones don't have much penetration in the world market compared to the PS1 or 2 era. So a lot of cuts have to be made (like the initial invasion of Insomnia had to be part of the game but was turned into Kingsglaive instead). And they are still working on making it better.

If you need help on post game content, complete fishing/recipeh list or anything, just ask me. :) I think I have done all that I could in the game, but I'm still farming for that lovely rare drop of a rare spawn post game just to make my Noctis even more OP. Hahahaha.

On other news....
>The FFXV active time report happened yesterday and it seems there might be another VR game other than the announced fishing one. The upcoming fishing VR will let you meet and interact with the FFXV bros.
Squeeee~~~ ♥ But dang, I don't have a VR headset.... BOOOOOOO
>CUP NOODLE HAT Noct!!! There's a comic book anthology (Japan), line stamps, a mobile game....

@Shiroi Koumori

Now from a developers point you could say that the development of Final Fantasy XV took approximately 10 years.
Final Fantasy XV has been prototyped on the PlayStation 2 back then whereby it has been trashed to transfer the game to the PlayStation 3 and finally to the PlayStation 4.

Now it is up to everyone theirselfs to interpret every incarnation of Final Fantasy XV as a 'new game' which has nothing to do with it's previous incarnations discarding the development time but strictly seen time is time.

But for this fisaco to be blamed is Tetsuya Nomura whose 'perfectionism' did not lend to a finished product and wasted money which in the game industry is often not tolerable.

Square Enix is lucky that Hajime Tabata has managed it to shape the game to something playable.
I hope they have learned something from this fiasco which I honestly do not believe.

Sincerely,
Count Decebal II.

First of all, welcome to the forums.

Yeah. I agree that the developer's perspective is 10 years. But I just counted the year when FFXV is FFXV and not its previous incarnations since a lot of the previous stuff were scrapped and nothing much happened for the 7 years it was stuck in development hell. Either way, its no use arguing over the time it took from announcement to release. A lot of people were teens when this was announced and now they have families.

I also blame Nomura.

Squeenix did not learn from this fiasco. If I am not mistaken Nomura will be working on another game alongside FFVII: Remake and KH3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So...about that deadeye Behemoth....

That was quite the anticlimactic fight...took him on a few nights ago and I was expecting to die a few times. Turns out none of my characters took any damage whatsoever, and the fight was over pretty quick. Didn't help that he got stuck in his pathfinding after he jumped up a cliff, and I could safely plug away at him, but as soon as he made it to a barrel....

I loved the setup for the fight...too bad it was all for naught in terms of challenge

Not that I haven't gotten whooped running into various level 50 mobs early on, but still...

Deadeye is weak. It was just a strong enemy on the Episode Duscae demo.
There are bigger and badder enemies in the higher level hunts and dungeons. And if you are fond of behemoths, there are stronger ones too. The best fights in my opinion are the ones that happen post game.

I hate shooting games but Episode Prompto is awesome! The final boss battle was so much fun. And I replayed it again for other collectables. Episode Gladio really got the short end of the stick.

Nyx has a game model already but they need to tweak it further so that the PS4 can handle it. Squeeeee~ Is this the something planned for Kingsglaive's anniversary?
Dev team is aware of the criticism about the story and acknowledged that they couldn't do everything they wanted. See they are not cold hearted.
Why there is no art book? Because of spoilers for DLC and story update. But they will make one (maybe) when everything is over. I can't wait to buy it. :)

Me too. But think about it, why are these stories made: they stick with you right in the feels. And well, FF specializes in that, Tabata loves those tragic stories too. /sigh
Anyway, I will just live with my head canon that

they better include female avatar creation!!   they could include Crowe and Stella customization assets too

if it has female avatar creation, I'll buy FFXV and the season pass for comrades beta.  and the full expansion version.  they could finally end the sausage fest.

and they should make avatars playable in single player too like they said before.

Good news for Xbox owners who also have Forza 3.

Quote
Beginning on August 1, Forza Horizon 3 and FINAL FANTASY XV players will be able to download and enjoy the Regalia in Forza Horizon 3 for free. The Regalia will be made available to everyone who has played Forza Horizon 3 (on Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Windows 10 PCs) and/or FINAL FANTASY XV (on Xbox One or Xbox One S) by August 1, 2017. For Forza Horizon 3 players, the Regalia will be sent to all players and will be redeemable through the in-game messaging system. FINAL FANTASY XV players will receive a code to redeem the Regalia in Forza Horizon 3 via the Xbox Live messaging system beginning on August 1.

Argh, xbox... wait... I hope they bring it to the PS4 with GranTurismo Sport. Please, Squeenix do it!

FFXV Comrades expansion beta is up for predownload
Quote
you dont need a PC nor phone to find it.  on PS4, just go to store, use search, and as you select the letters for Comrades, the beta should appear on the search list.  it's about 12.85 gigs

it better include female avatar creation, with at least one good feminine face, and one good feminine hairstyle that's at least shoulder length.

don't screw this up SE.   just as GTA Online, Pokemon, Fire Emblem Fates, and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds made millions more with female avatars, FFXV Comrades can convince more people to buy season pass and even FFXV to play the full version of FFXV Comrades fulltime, but it has to provide the basic freedoms and options all games should have.  they can finally end the sausage fest with this expansion.

This is a video of the beta's female avatar customization.
There are empty slots for more hairstyles (so far only 2 short hairstyles are available. I assume they will add longer hair in the actual release).

Thanks for sharing!   they really should add beautiful long hairstyles to the full version, as well as more ancestor face templates, since those will determine how much different and better faces we can create in the full version .    I know the beta is online only, but the full version really should be playable offline too since it has a solo mode.

the 11th is the beginning of the new beta test as well as a update to improve matchmaking (that update I think is added on the 10th)

I'm sure there will be more ancestor faces in the full version. I laughed at the chocobo mascot costume.
I hope the full version would be playable offline. I don't have PS+ and I have no plans of subscribing to that service.

oh yea Comrades should be playable offline

also hurray after season 1 DLCs are out, they could create Episode Lunafreya DLC!!

the other characters benefitted from episode DLC, Lunafreya most of all would benefit from it

it's great an interviewer got them to think more about making Lunafreya DLC happen, though FFXV fans can shower Square Enix and Final Fantasy twitter and facebook with more Episode Lunafreya requests!  they could even add a free mode so all story characters are playable in the main game, including Lunafreya!!

well PC version very likely will make Lunafreya playable for the whole game, especially with the mod support and PC modders talent modifying games in more ways with more playables and stuff.

I also am looking forward to Episode: Luna. Since Tabata wants it to happen, it will happen. :)
So, would there be a season pass 2? I wouldn't mind, but if it is an addendum to the current season pass, I'd be ecstatic!

The Fishing VR (Monsters of the Deep) will also have a female avatar creation thing with shoulder length hair.

FFXV Comrades is a super ultimate masterpiece of masterpieces!!

WOOOOW now this is how RPGs should be designed!! Avatar creation options are amazing and even better than the beta version, and Comrades really empowers the player with more freedoms and personalized roleplaying!! this is sooo AMAZING! and even though initially I was only playing this for the gameplay and not expecting much of a story, it's awesome how it actually has its own story from player's perspective and with avatar silent protagonist style, that leaves things more open to freedom of identity and more customizable emotional immersive roleplaying!! Comrades is our story!!    superior to premade protagonist in every way, and Comrades has the standards for player creation and personalized customization!!  and it has the perfect blend of single player and multiplayer!!

they just gotta patch that glitch where completing quests with players causes the "next exp" to mess up and not level up (can only gain exp and level up with a team of a.i. currently), but after that issue is fixed it's gonna be more epic ! of course soloers dont care cause they only use a.i. partners anyways, but social players find more fun playing alongside other players online and its soo cool seeing each player's own personally chosen appearance, name and stuff. ^.^ you can also choose your birthplace, which influences attributes too. there's tons of great things to say about it, and there's tons of great things to discover!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6DTv4K7Kx0 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6DTv4K7Kx0)

FFXVI, rpgs in general, heck all games from now on should follow Comrades example and game design fundamentals!! oh my waffles if Castlevania series had a format like Comrades, except Castlevania themed, it would be even more addicting than the 6 players co op Castlevania HD on X360/PS3.

Comrades is absolute GENIUS!!

That's good to know. My PS4 showed signs of overheating after I finished downloading comrades, so i had to shut it down.
(It has its own personal fan blowing on the vents. The temperature in my country is abnormally hot right now coupled with a slow download speed....)
I'll get to play it maybe by December or earlier, whenever I have the time and the temperature drops a little.

Ignis has some good new exposition that is pretty essential for filling in some of the blanks from the main game.

My wife and I were able to "guess" these certain elements earlier in the year, and Ignis was (finally)able to confirm our theories. We were both quite mad though that there was so much that we had to "guess" at, and speculate, especially what amounts to major plot lines and gaps.

With that being said, this content should have been in the main game. There were way too many holes in it to begin with.

But with that being said, Episode Ignis is the best yet...

I'm sure the holes were cut out because they need to offer dlcs.

I still haven't played. Wah.... I need to play it next week.

Post by: Saner on April 06, 2018, 07:44:41 PM
it looks like they are redeeming themselves and turning the worst Final Fantasy into the greatest single player Final Fantasy ever!!
https://www.dualshockers.com/final-fantasy-xv-dlc-new-finale-announcements/ (https://www.dualshockers.com/final-fantasy-xv-dlc-new-finale-announcements/)

1. character creation will be supported in the main story campaign. though I'm skeptical if this also allows female protagonist option too.  I dont care if it contracts the story, even Uncharted 2 is more fun play as Chloe or Elena instead of Drake.  so ill hold opinions about this feature until its confirmed female characters can be created and played as in the main game as well with the upcoming update.
2. there will be a treasure hunt system that increases in value the longer it takes a player to find it.
3. Comrades getting more content and expansion.
4. Comrades will be a standalone game this summer!
5. 4 new story episodes, including a sidestory of Aranea AND Lunafreya is playable in her own full episode!! those episodes  are in 2019, but its awesome they are making it happen!  plus the comrades updates are all scheduled for this year!

see these are the things FFXV should of had in the first place and Im glad they support and expand and evolve the game post launch. especially if #1 feature includes player created female protagonist option to play as for the whole story campaign, thats going to spike FFXV possibily to the top favorite single player FF ever!!
