It's very '90s. Pretty sure it's all digital but made to look like film animation, in texture and character design.

Yeah, it's awesome. Watched a bunch of it on Crunchyroll on my PS3 when I had a free trial. Gonna catch up with episodes 15 and 16 in a moment. Definitely something I'll buy on Blu-ray.

I've enjoyed everything else I've seen by the director. Just watched the Transformers parody on Panty & Stocking a few weeks ago and that's hilarious. It's an anime where I actually prefer to watch it in Engish. "Rotten-ass Panty" (Rodimus Prime spoof) kills me.

There's a Blu-ray set of Gurren Lagann coming out in the UK that I have preordered. Soooo looking forward to that as I hear it's amazing.

And yeah, holy balls, Ryuko Matoi cosplay is hawt, lololol.
