Needless to say that Van Helsing is the one at the top of the list.

But, recently I watched another one (terrible) movie called Dracula: The Dark Prince. It had a white haired Dracula, it had a living armor, it had some vampire hunters, including Helsing, and had a puny name for an item that should be used to slay Dracula called "Lightbringer Staff". It even had an EXTREMELLY CASTLEVANIA-looking castle, that was invisible and hidden on the mountains. The acting was horrid, and the plot was terrible. The opening sequence wants to be Coppola's so much, and the effects are subpar. All in all, it made me wish to never have a Castlevania movie.

Speaking of which, do you remember Dracula 2000? The protagonist was curiously called "Simon". Coincidence? I THINK NAWT! And then there is Dracula III: Legacy, where a dude goes killing monsters with a whip.

Are there any other movies in the same vein?

Vampire Hunter D. This animated flick might as well be called Castlevania due to the remarkable similarities-of which of course CV borrowed heavily from.

Next one's Bram Stoker's Dracula. It was worked into the CV canon so it might as well be a CV movie.

Vampire Hunter D came before Castlevania, and has been cited as one of the inspirations for the game, not the other way around.

Sorry if I wasn't clear on my post uzo but I already know that VHD came out before Castlevania. That's what I meant, lol.

Vampire Hunter D + Lupin III The Castle of Cagliostro = Castlevania

Van Helsing tried hard to be Castlevania, even the game refrences the Belmonts.
I Frankenstien and Mortal instruments: City of Bones have that LoS2 feel about it.
Bram Stoker's Dracula pretty much is Castlevania: The Drama
Harry Potter's Creatures and Bestinary reminds me heavily of Castlevania, you could even set Castlevania in that world and be satified
Constantine to me would be a perfect rendition how a modern Belmont would play out as.

That is literally all I can think of, with a couple stretches.

I have a thread for that movie and here's the link for the latest news with my short comment on it.

Seriously, dudes, Dracula's Curse is a movie's name.

Read that plot synopsis.

Read it.

Not me. Never heard of it till now. Kinda like I never knew that there were two other sequels to Dracula 2000. I only ever saw the first film.

The plot doesn't strike me as anything outstanding. It reads almost just like the plot for Blade.

When I saw the trailer for the newest Dracula movie, I thought it was going to be a Castlevania movie. But then I was like, "Another Dracula movie? Pfft."

"Scary German guy is bitchin'!"

Monster Squad was freaking great.  Still have my VHS recording from when I was a kid.

I hope they're don't try to revitalize that franchise though.  A horror movie starring kids made today would have casting and dialog to make us vomit.

The Super Shredder scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze was loosely based on a level from Simon's Quest.
