Let me guess this game is a prequel to Castlevania?
Let me guess this game is a prequel to Castlevania?Actually the main character was way more sexualised on earlier art. They covered her chest because it was just too much. At least for me. Now it is ok.
Also to be honest I don't think I really like the main character's outfit, too sexualized for my tastes.
Looks neat & promising.
A question: What could the action system be like this time? In the screenshots it seems the space of possible life upgrade is a bit shorter.
Thanks! Those questions will be answered when we release a video of the game. But you can expect many big differences from our last game.
Are you guys going to put this on Steam or anything? Since it's not directly related to Castlevania like the Lecarde Chronicles, it seems to me like you could make some money off this :o"This will be our first salable game, and we hope to release it before the end of 2018."

I guess their best bet is Steam but I wouldn't mind if they sell physical copies like with Lecarde Chronicles 2 :)
A little disappointed that the game isn't open world like lecarde chronicles 2 (the best Sotn spiritual successor I've ever played) but hey it's gonna be good anyways. And your Mozart composer is back which is great news. Music in castlevania has always been important and TLC2 had a terrific OST. Can't wait to play this one.
By the way....do you guys still have TLC2 copies lying around forgotten by any chance? C'est pour une bonne cause.
We would like to give you all another Wallachia Reign of Dracula casting update!:o
The role of Prince Vlad Dracula will be played by Douglas Rye!
We worked with Douglas in Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles 2 with him as the main villain. But this time we are very happy to have him playing Dracula.
As some of you may know, Douglas has also played the role of Dracula in Castlevania Curse of Darkness, and Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. Have a listen to Douglas as Dracula.

Understandable that people might want another open world game after LC2, but we wanted to do something more refined and polished this time and doing a more simple action based game is a good way to do that in making the jump to an original salable game.
We’re still essentially a 2 man crew so we’re trying to put out the most refined best game we can with the small team and limited resources we have.
Thanks for the comment on the music! To tell you guys a little about the new ost for Wallachia I’m currently working hard on. Expect a lot more guitar and performance based instruments this time. I chose to do mostly programming for LC2 but Wallachia will blend live instruments with the programming. It’s coming along very nice and I can’t wait to share it!
The game looks good!What? :P :
As for the gameplay I am sceptical :( I just don't know if Contra and Castlevania could be merged together.
I hope I am wrong!
Good luck!
I'm looking forward to it. My love for castlevania is greatly associated to music since 1985 ;D.The 4 part: battle of the holy, rise of the morning, dimming the holy light and violent nightmare, instantly hooked me into the game. I knew that from then on, I would be in for a treat for the rest of the game. Those four songs perfectly catch dracula's haunted countryside in my opinion. Beautiful, yet menacing. Other favorites of mine are: Guernon university, la tourvelle mansion(honestly the ambiance in this one is chilling) servigny mansion and the very simple yet hypnotic outside princely rooms. Nightmare plant boss is probably the best castlevania boss song I've ever heard. It's nod to bloody tears is masterfully done.
I know this may sound funny to some but as much as I love the melodies, I find this castlevania ost (and game) "scarier" than what the official games usually display. Some themes in the castle are quite disturbing. And the game is only better because of it. You've managed to create great music AND ambiance for the different parts of the game. That is no easy task as usually we see one or the other from composers, rarely both. (I hated the LOS games mainly because music was an ambiance affair only and hardly ever catchy or memorable).
So yeah...Can't wait for the next game lol. Sorry if my English is sometimes funny. It is not my first language. Keep up the good work man and all the rest of the team of course. LC2 was BIG step up from LC and to me is as great and even better than some of konami's best. I'm even curious as to how I will appreciate bloodstained after having played LC2. Ok enough with the wall of text ;D peace dudes.
Whoa! The page says demo coming soon!
Glad to see the mig miracle will some day surface again! Looks like lots of miracle happened in this magical year, 2019.I highly suggest following migami's facebook and twitter to keep updated about the game progress.
It's really not worth coming to this place since really few people care about fan projects.
Thanks!
We understand your sentiment.
It's a thing worth addressing. Wallachia is not a game you will be able to enjoy if you are looking for an experience like LC2.
But there is a reason for that beyond the style choice of shooter. It is that LC2 was built off of the foundation of LC1.
Wallachia is an entirely new IP from the ground up. This means we spent a lot of time and energy into the conception of it and polish/stability which are being set at higher standards as it will be sold.
This game is an action packed 7 stage shooter that unfolds a new take on Dracula, and introduces the new characters that surround him.
It's a game you can beat in under an hour if you are good. It's like a classic CV or Contra game. But it's our style of that kind of game. And we've put a lot of fun unlockable content in it. But that is what the game is.
We are hoping that Wallachia can be something we can build on. It has a super fun feel to it and if we do another chapter of it, it could be a similar jump in style as LC1 was to LC2.
But we want players to understand what it is, and judge it by those standards, and not with expectations of a Metroidvania.
It wasn't possible for us to jump from LC2 right to another LC2.
But we hope you will still give Wallachia a shot! The support of the players will ensure that we get to do a Metroidvania style game again!
We hope that explains the whole thing for everyone!
Thanks guys!
Couple quick things.
We re-cast Dracula as Sam Cope (Dracula9) because he blew us away with his take on Dracula.
Also, challenge mode now features guest composers from the Castlevania Umbra of Sorrow project. Aensland, Chern and Dracula9. The Umbro's.
Game pretty much done.
Start doing thumb push ups.
More soon.
That video really showed off a good arcade-styled game! Doesn't help the fact that I'm reading a book called Dracula: Prince of many Faces. I'd highly recommend this to others here as it not only goes into details about Bram Stoker's creation of the myth but also on the real life Prince.
Fun fact from the book that I never knew; Joan of Arc was executed in 1431 and Vlad III (Dracula) was born that same year. If this was a CV game that would be a seriously ill omen :o
I want to be able to play this game but opening up the rar. file told me that the file was either incomplete from download or damaged >:(
I'll try again and see if it works.
Hello again Mig.
May I ask what is the engine on which you are making the game? Fusion again or something else? I am asking because I want to know how are you going to port it to Switch. Did you get dev kit? Paid the licence? You are approved by Nintendo?
Hello Mig here's one minor suggestion.
We found it seems both Normal and Hard modes apply to 3 Credits, which I personally think 3 Credits are a bit tight for normal game while Easy mode instead has 9 Credits. 4 or 5 Credits in Normal would be a balanced range in between those two values.
Does the cast change mean Douglas Rye is now no longer in the voice cast?
Sorry about the rar file problem you're not the first to report that. We will likely post an alternate link to the demo soon so you can play it.

I read through In Search of Dracula, which is by the same authors as the book you mentioned. That book definitely had an influence on my vision of Carpathian Night (formerly Wallachian Night). What a tasteless comment, you have your own thread man.
Finally got around to play this demo, I gotta admit that the animations and sprite work is better than their previous releases, my only critic could be the length of the stages, they feel kinda short.

I was not expecting that costume reveal, I'm definitely impressed that you guys managed to get that into the game.
Must be a great feeling to have legitimate connections to the Castlevania/Bloodstained series in your own game... not just the voice acting from Belgrade, but the blessing to use a Miriam costume from Iga himself. Great job working that out.
Robbie's an individual and not beholden to Konami so he can use his "Alucard Voice" for whatever he wants, but I asked Angel-Corlux and I was told that Migami Games got legal permission from Artplay and everything to have a Bloodstained costume :D
Finally got around to playing this test demo. I enjoyed it for the most part though the character was just a bit stiff. Not like it was a bad thing as it reminds me of those classic arcade titles. Although maybe a down-kick attack after double jumping would be a nice addition as she already seems to want to go in that direction in terms of functionality. I found the life bar to be a bit short as well as the lack of finding life refills. But it's not unreasonable for the current build. The stage 1 boss could use a bit more functionality as his current attack is very straight-forward and very easy to dodge. The second stage boss worked alright so no issues on that front. All in all this was a nice demo to play and I look forward to getting this on my Switch when it is ready :D
I suggest you play on easy if you found normal to be too difficult.
There are also writings that he was killed by an assassin who was disguised as a servant.
The thing is in full french so it's a bit tough to sign up, but I'd like a physical copy argh.
EDIT: The checkout is in french, that is. Still, I **think** I ordered it!

@zuljaras Thank you very much for buying the game, despite it not being your favorite genre. Your support means a lot! Our next game is a Metroidvania and spiritual successor to Lecarde Chronicles 2 and we look forward to sharing info on it in the future. It's called Chronicles of the Wolf!
Thank you everyone!

Well to be fair Wallachia isn't a Castlevania game, it is its own thing with a stand-alone story. Maybe the reason why you didn't like it as much might have been due to expectations. I've always made it a point not to expect anything otherwise I'd only be setting myself up for a fall. I believe what Mig was doing with this game was to put together an old Arcade-style title like many a popular games back in the day.
I also believe that the reason why we don't see a Switch port for LC2 is due to legal issues with Konami since the game fan fiction taking place within the CV universe.
I just got the game!

However I found something very interesting. The game is not pixel perfect.
When I was making the scaling of my game I wanted to have perfect pixels.
In Wallachia when you move some pixels get bigger and then smaller. Why not include fixed ratios as option?
Wallachia likely uses a 3d engine or a modern 2d game engine. they often lack options for pixel scaling.
Even if you were to have a lower fixed resolution, the pixels of the assets and the pixels of the screen resolution would not match and it would horribly distort the pixel art
Haha that's awesome. Who is that character? I've never read a marvel Dracula comic. Probably should check it out sometime.
Rachel Van Helsing, great grandaughter of Abraham Van Helsing. She usually uses a crossbow, but she was using a regular bow during that issue.

Very cool! I'm not super familiar with Marvels version of monsters but I saw that Werewolf by Night movie and it was surprisingly good. It would be cool to see a live action marvel Dracula too!

Maybe back in the day before Marvel went WOKE. But not right now. I wouldn't trust them to produce anything solid and worthy of the title Dracula.
I saw that movie too. The only Werewolf by Night I have read are the two crossover issues with Dracula, where we get to see Dracula vs the Werewolf. I am interested to delve into WbN at some point, but right now I'm focused on ToD.
I haven't heard anything about Marvel bringing Dracula back, but at least we have Renfield and another Nosferatu remake on the way!
This term woke means nothing to me I think it's been mostly made up to make people needlessly angry.
I've seen comments around the internet of people claiming Wallachia is woke because it has a female protagonist.
Describes inherent issues with ‘Wokeism’
complaining about a beautiful plus sized model on the cover of sports illustrated, then I think those people who identify as anti-woke need therapy.
It pains me to see what me posting a picture of a panel from Tomb of Dracula devolved into.
X, you're one of my biggest sources of encouragement, and I've always appreciated that, but there was absolutely zero reason for you to bring up "anti-woke" politics. My post had absolutely nothing to do with politics. We also don't need a long overview of these ideas, I've been paying close attention since 2014 when the gamer gate kids started spouting this stuff, and none of it ever held any substance or legitimacy, all it does is divide communities, encourages hate, and creates conflict.
When’s the album dropping, specifically interested in the anti-ironic Jordan Peterson diss track? ????
I'm gonna ghost on outta here to avoid distractions now. The struggle is real and I live on caffeine and 3 1/2 hours sleep a night. ✌️peace
