HAHA GUYS A GURREN LAGEN JOKE GET IT
Anyways, about 20 hours' worth of work and a decent chunk of hand and shoulder pain later (hand-sawing's a bitch), and I've got me a nice little profit turn once the commissioner pays ('twould be $494 normally, knock of 40% since it's one of my oldest friends, and that still leaves me with $200 profit, a nice ten times the cost of materials).
Total length is approximately 5'6" (haven't actually measured it, but i'm 5'8" and the thing goes up to my nose), and the shaft can be detached where the solid black leather wrapping begins (on the straight side, not the side where the curve actually starts). Balance isn't too bad, but it's not perfect; the detachable bottom part of the shaft adds a lot of back weight to it and slightly throws it off, but that addition was what the commissioner wanted. Without that section the balance is actually rather excellent, something I hadn't necessarily
planned on but am very pleased with nonetheless.
