Well deisgn layout wise i took the film Van Helsing's castle with the 3 large towers, and added a 6 turret style tower wall to the ground with a sotn kinda look, this is just a map i'm making in my spare time. :p

I can't say it looks "castlevania" enogh, since it does change from game to game, but it does look good.

Is that Half-life?

The textures in the first picture need some work. Other than that, it looks nice.

It looks like Jedi Academy to me, Rugal. I could be mistaken though.

IIRC, it is Jedi Academy. I remember the earlier screenshots that seemed to point that way.

Hell yes, it's CV-like. Very nice, too.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is it for? Just something you're doing for fun.

He's working on a CV mod for Jedi Academy, if memory serves me correctly.

It looks Castlevania like, but needs better texture work. Good work so far.

Well it all started out with him asking me to make a castlevania 64 keep for JKA, since then I started mapping castlevania as a whole. I learned Omegasigma some mapping tricks so now he does stuff like this in his spare time. The general exterior is frankensteined from my work but none of this is going to be in the game we are making.

I like to use the engine as a 3d rendorer, since i find it much easier to build in then 3d max, also i love castlevania alot :p, so in my spare time i tend to make my own maps and design some stuff for new levels in our mod, the outcome is sometimes mixed but i enjoy having the ability to make my own content and then play threw it

engine: Idtech3 (quake 3)
game: Jedi knight academy
platform: PC

hmmm The quake 3 engine could look a WHOLE lot better than that. Are you usin Quark? or what?

And you really should put the time into Max its well worth it. Im not even 1/10th proficient with it and I can make some nice stuff if I try. This is a render straight from Max of Vashs gun from Trigun I made a few weeks ago. Its very low poly and just base textures no normals or anything

Can I design levels using Rhino3D (exporting to 3DS)?  It'd be good 3D practice.
