The instruction booklet for Chronicles called that stage The Red-bricked Cathedral.

Both. The Japanese manual calls it "赤煉瓦の礼拝堂" which translates exactly to the same thing.

Yes I'm the one who made the detailed map, but since there were no function-handy PS1 emulator at that time that I could handle removing the foreground /background scenery with no issues, thus lead to a lot of background scenery being left in the detailed map. 

In during the years 2015-2016 I once considered making a revised one but then I changed my idea and didn't think it really necessary. And there're other (my) personal projects I'd like to be involved Instead of this.

I remember when I wanted to make these maps, I started just using the X68000 Emulator instead (Winx68K High Speed).
But I didn't get very far haha.
