I already have a character in mind maybe going to participate, there is something I wanted to post before to propose a competition like this: this is the 30th anniversary of Castlevania in america, and someone did a facelift patch for Castlevania here: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=24125. (https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=24125.)
So, how about a competition in which you remake the look of Castlevania the way you like for sprites and backgrounds of the complete stages or for one in particular, this competition could be the December competition so everyone would have almost 3 months for that quantity of work.

If I am not mistaken, a similar idea was proposed way back then, however, I just wanted newbie spriters to enter and enjoy making sprites. I would like to know if there are people who want to join a great undertaking as that one, I will open up a contest.
Anyone who is interested in a big sprite contest in the vein of what was mentioned in the quote, PM me.

The contest is now closed.
Since Jop was the only entry, he automatically wins this! Congrats!
