I'm having difficulty beating this boss in SOTN.  Does anyone have any advice from experience.  Thanks.

Get a Beryl Circlet and just equip it.  Or you could just use the ol' Crissaegrim/Shield Rod+Alucard Shield set up and cheez your way to victory.

I beat him with Jewel Knuckles.

It was not fun.

I forgot what the heck I did. I equiped something that gave me health when I was hit with lightning. Its probably what Johnny Alucard is talking about.

Pssh, not enough effort into playing the game huh? You gotta have the Fist of Tulkas!

I dont remember if I had them yet honestly. I think though, I might actually HAVE used the fist of Tulkas- because I had the Valmanway as my sub weapon. (I kept a sword handy for those rare enemies that you cant get close enough to hit without getting smacked around)

Where can I find the Beryl Circlet?

It can be kind of complicated so here's a video

As the video suggests, you gotta break two holes in the large rock formation in the Reverse Entrance.
Then, go through the opening in between the rock once as a Wolf, and once as a Bat.
Upon doing this, you will hear a sound and the upper right corner of that area will have an entrance to the Beryl Circlet.
