Including games also on PC.

I was wondering what good games out and upcoming are console-exclusive to Xbox One. I'm trying to gauge if I wanna pick one up at some point at the right price ($300 or under). I have a PS4 and Wii U but two of my friends have XB1s and some of the multiplayer is a lot of fun. PS4 seems to be lacking in local m-player and it helps that my friends have their own controllers. The idea of system linking so we can have more than one TV going is really appealing for game nights, because we were really squinting when doing 4-player splitscreen, ha ha.

And while in general the PS4 has the advantage when it comes to multi-plats according to Digital Foundry, there are some that perform better on XB1, so better performance is something I'm considering as well.

These are possibly the only XB1 exclusives that I know about that have piqued my interest:

Rare Replay
Cuphead
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Oh yeah, and also:
meat

Soda as well.

Rare replay is excellent! Haven't tried Halo 5 cus in waiting for the price to go down. As for upcoming games, check out

-Quantum Break (third person shooter with time manipulation mechanics, from the devs of Max Payne 1 & 2)
-Scalebound (From Platinum Studio, hack n slash with Dragons but the character has headphones that give him powers, a humorous game)

I was looking at Scalebound last night and that's the game that tipped me over. I want an Xbox One now, ha ha.

Edit: And I just bought one. Amazon has a 1TB bundle with:

- Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (physical disc plus downloads of the 360 games if I play it on Xbox Live before the new year)
- Rare Replay (disc)
- Ori (download)

for $350. Not too shabby. I did just get a PS4 plus a bunch of games for it so I pretty much can't afford anything right now, but I felt the gamer bug bite me hard.

Rare Replay is amazing
Halo: MCC pretty much the best time eater enjoying the best Halo games, and Halo 4.

Basically Fallout 4 is amazing on any platform (if you're into it, that is) and worth 100+ hours.

Can't say I'm into the GIGANTIC world games, but I do watch my bro play the Fallout games and its entertaining as hell, and F4 doesn't dissapoint. He's loving it, and I like the story so far

Best Buy has this gamer club where you get 20% off new games, only $30 for a two-year subscription. I suspect I'll be buying a lot of games with it, lewl.

Lately I've been really liking the idea of huge open world games. I'm playing through Xenoblade Chronicles X right now, which is wowing me, and I have Fallout 4 queued up on PS4.

After I ordered my Xbox One, I was sad to learn that very few games for it enable LAN/system linking. Well, at the very least my buddies and I will have some fun with Black Ops III using two or more TVs, and I'm hoping any 360 games that get XB1 support that also had LAN still do have it.

The saddest part of all this is that local multiplayer is dying. Nobody wants to get together with their buds anymore and just game out. You're hard-pressed to even find splitscreen games. Imagine my disappointment when I learned Splatoon's local m-player is a load of hogwash...and you can't go online with splitscreen either.

Tell me about it, I refuse to get Halo 5 since they ditched Splitscreen

I've been very tempted to buy either an xb1 (Ori bundle) or ps4 to keep up with the Jones' of gaming. But I've instead been buying collectibles including games for that matter. I'm already putting some hours into gaming at the moment and there are no games I really want to play that desperately this generation. I think I like that PS4 is getting FFVII Remake as a timed exclusive as well as SFV and NieR:Automata as exclusives. I will probably buy one a year from now.

Halo 5 has a pretty good campaign (good, not great) and Warzone is one of my new favorite multiplayer hobbies. It brings the gameplay in line with the standards set by modern first person shooters while still managing to feel uniquely Halo, but the new Antagonist is kind of the ultimate Giant Space Flea From Nowhere. There's no build up to the new villain, whereas the Didact from Halo 4 was hinted at in Halo 3 via the Terminals on the Ark.

Just a sort of glaring sense of "Well THAT just happened. Not sure why. But it happened!"

Halo 5 also shares a major narrative flaw with Star Wars 7: the whole thing feels like a warm up to the inevitable sequel.

As for split screen, I don't have local friends who visit, so I don't miss it in the slightest.

Just my two cents.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.
