Need help choosing characters for cosplay...

So I'm going to my first convention in a couple of months and I need some ideas.

So far I thought of possibly Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop and possibly Tenchi Masaki's lecherous father, Noboyuki Masaki.

I need one more at least since it's a 3 day thing and I prefer to have a different outfit each day.
Two other thoughts I had are Shunsui from Bleach and Alphonse Elric, however, I don't think I'll have enough time to make a full set of armor, 3 kimonos, and captain's coat.

I'm 5'8" and 215lbs. so I'm looking for larger characters. I'm trying to drop at least 15 more pounds by November, but I'll probably still have a bit of a belly. So keep that in mind.

Thanks for any suggestions! :3

This one should be pretty easy to pull off, the appropriate patches and red vest. A plastic magnum and a sandwich and you should be good to go. Depending on how elaborate you wanna get with the facial hair.

I like it! Not anime, but a good suggestion nonetheless. I've been meaning to try my hand at making a heavy vest anyway. Plus, I hardly ever shave anyway. Thanks!
