I was not expecting that costume reveal, I'm definitely impressed that you guys managed to get that into the game.

Must be a great feeling to have legitimate connections to the Castlevania/Bloodstained series in your own game... not just the voice acting from Belgrade, but the blessing to use a Miriam costume from Iga himself. Great job working that out.

The game reminds me of Valis mixed with Contra. Looks solid.

Robbie's an individual and not beholden to Konami so he can use his "Alucard Voice" for whatever he wants, but I asked Angel-Corlux and I was told that Migami Games got legal permission from Artplay and everything to have a Bloodstained costume :D

Finally got around to playing this test demo. I enjoyed it for the most part though the character was just a bit stiff. Not like it was a bad thing as it reminds me of those classic arcade titles. Although maybe a down-kick attack after double jumping would be a nice addition as she already seems to want to go in that direction in terms of functionality. I found the life bar to be a bit short as well as the lack of finding life refills. But it's not unreasonable for the current build. The stage 1 boss could use a bit more functionality as his current attack is very straight-forward and very easy to dodge. The second stage boss worked alright so no issues on that front. All in all this was a nice demo to play and I look forward to getting this on my Switch when it is ready  :D

That's correct. Everything was done through the proper channels. Iga and his team have been incredibly kind to us. They have had an early full game build of Wallachia for a little while now. We were also honored to learn he is a fan of the Lecarde games!

Appreciate the feedback. I suggest you play on easy if you found normal to be too difficult. We would be hesitant to make the game any easier than it already is at this point. That's sort of what the different modes are for. Elcin is already quite powerful and if we add in even more attacks, you might find the game to be too easy and over too quickly once you get better at it.

But thanks for the feedback and it will certainly be taken into account!

We greatly appreciate the support everyone! Help spread the word if you are interested in this game and would like to see it come to other consoles like PS4 or xbox one.

As was the case with Aggelos (another game from storybird) other consoles will be considered depending on demand!

But for now Steam and Switch are confirmed.

The game is looks great, sounds great and it's well balanced regarding difficulty. I like this kind of games that starts difficult at first but can be mastered after some practice. I'm having much fun playing this demo, I'm sure of buying it at lauching.
and this Mirian Costume is unexpectedly sexy :3

Hey guys just a heads up.

Work is done on Wallachia Reign of Dracula. We are moving on to the Steam testing phase and a release date for Steam will soon be announced, followed by details on the Nintendo Switch version. We greatly appreciate your support and we are looking forward to the future for where we can take Wallachia next!

We also invite you to take a look at some early screen shots of a new game Mig's brother is working on called Land of Blessing! We're very excited for this project! It's a Metroidvania game that takes place in France, and has dark vibes that fans of LC2 will welcome!

You can see screen shots here.

Have a nice weekend.

Great! I've been less active than before in these couple months because of co-testing other community projects (Mega Man X6 Tweaks patcher 2.0, etc.)
Can't wait for the day I enjoy your commercial debut game when it's released!

So I heard that Dracula in this game is human, I guess it's before he turned into a Vampire or I kinda predict the Elcin Floarea is going to kill him at the end which he'll raise as a Vampire afterwords? Since I know for sure that the real life Vlad Tepes was killed in battle and of course in the original book by Bram Stoker Dracula got his vampirism from black magic and alchemy at the scholomance which I wonder if the scholomance is going to be referenced in this game?

Of course this game could be a nice pretext of a Castlevania reboot ditching IGA's story and going with the original novel by Bram Stoker mixed with real history.

It's actually not confirmed that Dracula was killed in battle. There are also writings that he was killed by an assassin who was disguised as a servant. It's also not confirmed that he was a vampire or not.

Make no assumptions about what we are doing with him as he is a figure shrouded in mystery. And mystery breeds creativity. ????

This was mentioned in the book I recently read too. It was also noted that the assassin took the head off the body.

Wallachia Reign of Dracula is finished! But during this processing time before we announce a release date, we invite you to check out an unreleased song from the game. This is a boss fight song called "Death Uncaged". Enjoy!

https://youtu.be/Ga08Iy2Uv-c

The waiting period between now and when the game comes out is beyond the control of Migami Games, but it should go quickly we hope! We share updates and news as soon as we get it!

We may share another song or two from the game while we wait...

Prince Dracula waits in his chamber.

Thank you for all of your support!
