Pino Donaggio's work on Carrie is spellbinding.

"For The Last Time We'll Pray"
Pino Donaggio - For The Last Time We'll Pray

"Mother at the Top of the Stairs" (slow to begin but intense.)
Pino Donaggio - Mother at the top of stairs (Carrie)

And being my favorite musician, Emilie Autumn has several amazing instrumentals of note...

"Unlaced" (I can imagine this one as a clock tower theme.)
Emilie Autumn - Unlaced

"Organ Grinder" (From the European Saw III soundtrack)
Emilie Autumn - Organ grinder (Saw III)

Also, the Orbital Elevator theme in X8 reminds me a lot of Don't Wait Until Night.
haha, I can see what you mean. It DOES have an almost similar melody.

Mega Man X8 OST, T21: Jakob

Actually, it could maybe pass as a Belmont theme.

On that note, two tracks from a flash RPG called "Epic Battle Fantasy 3" that could pass as Castlevania.
Epic Battle Fantasy 3 Music: Organ Jaws
Epic Battle Fantasy 3 Music: Divine Madness

Arumana no Kiseki is a Famicom Disk System game with music composed by Kinuyo Yamashita, the composer of CV1.
It may sound a bit different in how the melodies are programmed (mostly because of the extra FDS audio), but there's no mistaking that classic Castlevania sound. You can especially hear it in the triangle wave and noise channel--

there were other action heros that came out prior to Indian Jones that looked almost alike so it wouldn't surprise me if this game was based on one of those movies. That second tune from Arumana no Kiseki is more akin to Phantasy Star then CV from some of the notes that i was hearing.

Last Mega Man one- (for now...) but this one from Mega Man Zero 3 definitely fits.

Skullgirls Music Sampler: New Meridian

Sounds alot like a song from Order of Ecclesia. (As it should since Michiru Yamane is doing the soundtrack)

I always thought this track from Killer Instinct sounded like something straight out of Castlevania (hope it's not a repost)

Spinal's Theme is damn awesome.  I always thought of him as the virtual incarnation of the Skull Knight.

Parts of this sound totally like Stalker. I'll bet Kinuyo Yamashita was actually inspired a lot by classic rock and such, since it shows in her MMX3 soundtrack too.

It won't allow n00bs to post links until three posts.
I'll turn them into videos for you, but it's a safety measure to stop the one-post spambots.

It's for your own good.

Very surprised no one posted this yet (that I could see anyway).

You know how you sometimes DL music, but don't listen to it for awhile because you're busy, and then you forget about it for various reason. Well, during some awesome sex with the wife the other night we had Daft Punk playing in the background. Not a particular mix mind you, just iTunes playing through their albums one by one. At one point the song Veridis Quo came on, and it hit me that it sounded a heck of a lot like a Castlevania song (the wife agrees), which kinda turned me on to be having sex to Castlevania music.

Anyway, the Daft punk song Veridis Quo REALLY sounds like a Castlevania song (you can have sex to). Even the video appears to be pretty heavily inspired by CV (especially the castle part). The mountains in the beginning of the vid really remind me of the mountains in the background of the Clock Tower area in SotN. Check it out.

Daft Punk - Veridis Quo

Here's a few remixes that I enjoyed....

Famitracker - Daft Punk - Veridis Quo (8-Bit Remix)

Hexagram - Veridis Quo

Daft Punk - Veridis Quo (Supa Crush Remix)
