Yeah, exactly, a movie like FFVII:AC would be great. However, I really think FFVII:AC is NOT a film everyone can watch, as it is hard to understand for a person who has not played the game first.
Howabout just "No Chris Nolan". I think he's overrated. He's done some good movies, but I didn't like Dark Knight Rises as much as I thought I would've(thought it was the weakest of the trilogy, which oddly enough, I like in order of their release). Inception didn't blow me away, either.
The Complete version tells the story better in a way a new fan could understand it, but even then, it'll come across as weird. But still, a CGI Castlevania movie would probably be better. In the case of Resident Evil, I much preferred Degeneration to any of the live-action films, and Damnation is shaping up to be pretty good-looking.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.
Watching AC Complete I was left wondering why that extra shit wasnt in the original movie to begin with, considering it clarifies many things, makes certain transitions more sensical, etc.
According to Square, it was because of deadlines. You know how they like taking their sweet-ass time with things (coughVersusXIIIcough).
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care. It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.
Is Versus even still in development? I've yet to hear a single word about it since forever. Then again, I don't really follow the FFXIII spin-offs.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.
Maybe they're still having second thoughts about making a FF that's considerably more "mature", so to speak.I dunno about the fan demand, but it's gotta be high enough that it's still on.
They should go the Ace Attorney route for Castlevania; Make it as campy and close to the original video game as possible, that's how videogame movies SHOULD be. I would pay good money to see Simon whipping walls for pot roast and tossing axes at Death on the big screen. It would be a movie that only takes itself as seriously as it has to, and it would be right up Konami's alley for their goofy and lovable reputation.
Or they could post some person's playthrough of one of the longer games. Cheaper than hiring actors, that's for certain.
LOL that just gave me the best idea ever, throw in like a 5min legitimmate intro, like with previews of other newer movies etc. Upload it to youtube just for the purpose of going over to my friends house that have Apple TV. Have them sitting down with there food cause there a bunch of fat asses (lol not really, well sort of actually yes) ready to watch a movie. The intro passes and you see Simon Belmont running through the first stage, by the time he is half way through they probably will finally ask "Dude, wtf is this?" then I say without laughing "Its great, it gets better guys just watch". By the time stage 2 starts they are like "WTF is this?" and thats when I probably won't be able to hold a straight face and its blown. Okay I am trying this, now to find a downloadable playthrough of a Castlevania game preferably a older one.
