Predictably, I've been hitting Skyrim hard.
I've also been playing Diablo III.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

When I have the spare time I practice some of my Japanese with dragon quest III and fire emblem gaiden on my famicom.

And you know what, I tried it again and it kicked my butt and that is Valkyria chronicles. This makes code name steam look like a cake walk.

Heh, I know I complained about Crysis 2, but it ended up being pretty fun.

Started on the first Fallout afterward. Spent most of the time just learning the esoteric controls, fighting off cave rats with a knife (and nearly dying), then messing around in the first town. My brother-in-law suggested just to read up on the lore for this game and don't even bother playing it, because according to him, it's aged very poorly. But that wouldn't be very fun, would it?  :P
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Started Shovel Knight last week. Actually I'm quite impressed, I never had any expectations.

Recently I've had a Parodius itch to scratch. And with my new SNES-esque controller, playing them is a blast  :D

Nice, I've got the SS version.

Thing I hated about it is playing 1p the game stops when you die whereas 2p keeps going.

The SS/ PSX versions were my favourite though and slightly different from what I recall.

I used to main Michael :p

Auto power up mode in 1 player mode is the way to die, and keep going. Personally I hate that mode because you never get enough speed ups (2 is ideal). Great, great series, shame it ended on a strategy game.

Picked up Dynasty Warriors 8 without being too familiar with the franchise...playing Ambition Mode. Seems pretty simplistic, but fairly fun so far.

Fired up the ole MAME emulator and tried it out with my PC SNES controller. Just finished up a round with Knights of the Round, lol.

I've really enjoyed Hyrule Warriors Legends.  I was nervous about how different it was, but I really like how it plays.  I may have to check out the other series which it's supposed to be similar to, in regards to gameplay.

This:

AKA Puchi Carat, PS1 Japanese version is high on my want list, the rare times it's on Ebay, it's overseas, and a tad pricey.

Street Fighter V, but there's surprisingly a lack of online players where I am.

Just jumped in raw, never played it before.

I get the feeling I need to give this one a run on the trusty old Saturn sometime soon too.
