If it weren't for him I never would have played CV RIP my bro

I recently lost my older brother. Of the many things I can say of him he was quite humorous often doing physical Three Stoogesque acts and that would often make me genuinely laugh. For me laughter in my mid 40s seems like a really difficult commodity to acquire and especially so given the climate and world we live in now. Apart from that he was big into Iron Maiden, rifles, dirtbikes, the outdoors and a plethora of other things. In addition, it was because of him and a friend of his that I got into the Castlevania series. At first I was too interested in playing Mario but after he showed me how I was completely neglecting the use of the secondary weapon to beat the first boss the game slowly grew on me. He gave me that among other things in life. I miss him immensely. However I don't think that with death the story ends. I believe I will see him again aside from Mom and Dad. Until then RIP Eddy the Ed.  Never take loved ones for granted.

I am sorry for your loss. I guess all we can do in times like this is be thankful for the time we had with these loved ones and the things they gave us. You're doing that and I know it's damn hard. Again I'm sorry for you and your family's loss.

Thank you to you guys for extending your sympathies. It's appreciated far beyond my ability to express it. To go through these stages is so difficult. I don't know what it is to truly grieve. My mom and my dad have been gone for a while and with them it's not as hard to deal with due to them having lived full lives. Does anyone have any advice or other thoughts? This is just so hard to process.

My deepest sympathies. I lost an older brother once which at my age and understanding  wasn't nearly as painful as what my parents endured. If there's one thing I believe, it's that we'll find one another again, and I only believe and wish that upon others.

Jesus... My condolences as well. I have a friend whom lost his older brother too. And it was completely unexpected. You don't really know when appendicitis will hit you. But at least your brother left you with fond memories and gave you other things as well.

Thank you again. I can't imagine what it is like to be able to process this either as a young child or as a parent. Maybe the belief that we see our family again makes this not so hard, maybe I am just numb and in shock still. I don't know. If ever the time comes again if I decide to go out for a drink......highly doubt it as I just don't care for it I am sure it won't take much to get the water works flowing. All the same I know that is not the best coping method. Anyway thanks again X and zangetsu468.

By the way X you sig is very profound. Zangetsu468 I agree too.
