I've been playing this for a better part of the day, and despite a lot of the things I have some minor gripes with, I have to say I'm enjoying this remake.

Notable differences include
- Summonable characters (Jonathan, Trevor, Albus) are no longer a static summon cutscene but playable characters on timers

Turns out they didn't change the dialogue to reflect that.

I rather miss the old system for its screen-clearing potential, especially when you're racing against the clock for those time-related challenges.

Many happy returns to my favoritest videogame franchise. It could be a little more alive than a mobile game and a compilation, but here's hoping those are just baby steps to a full-on revival.

The original FDS Akumajou Dracula came out today, three and a half decades ago on September 26, 1986. That's pretty far out.

I grabbed it late last night.  I agree with all that's been said, modeling looks like a rushed, pre rendered fan game.  Tutorials slow the pace down to a crawl.  As much as i LOVE the original game, i'm having a hard time appreciating this one so far..

I remember that too. It's kinda the same deal in Rondo. It's like the one hit you take and since you can't move another enemy right behind the first gets in a hit likewise. This killed me a number of times it was so annoying  >:(

Oh, I didn’t think about Trophys until I got one.  Wonder if they’ll add enough spice to the game for something new.

Yeah Ive seen it. Want to get it but not impressed with the visuals tho so will probably wait until I catch it on sale
