I won't ask for ISOs or anything in this thread, so don't worry about that.

Anyway, does anyone know a good PSP Emulator out there? I've searched a bit and can't seem to find any good ones.

The current emu's are not able to play commercial games.  Only homebrew.  People don't seem to be into emulating the psp as they are interesting in making emulators to run on it such as getting Zelda OoT to play on it and SNES games.

I'd expect a good two years before you can think about playing rondo on an emulator and better have a good system (2ghz + processor, powerful video card and maybe a gig of ram).  Emu's take up a lot of system resources to run.  Especially when they are in beta and not perfected.

As for the location of them, I'm not sure if that is allowed here so not going to give that info up at this time.

Yeah it's a shame, I see Iso's of games on torrent sites all the time and it sucks for those lookin' to dl the games and play them on their pc's cuz it's a wasted dl, unless you have a umd burner that will make the discs so they get around the psp's security.

Speaking of thios, is it hard (or illegal) to emulate old games on PSP, because I'm getting one for Christmas, and I'd like to do that, but not if its illegal and I can get caught.

Illegal, yes.
Getting caught, its possible, but not likely.  Still, if you're like me and don't believe the consequences of getting caught are worth it, I wouldn't do it.
I believe if you own the game, though, then it isn't illegal.

well it'd be copyright infringement if the games your emulating are copyrighted (they most likely are unless they're homebrewed or custom made like many of the castlevania 1 tweaks for instance), you could do prison  time I think it's a max of 5 years, could be more, or a big fine.

Because playing games on an emulator is a worse crime than murder... :

The chances of being arrested for that are 1/100000 or less. Unless you're stupid enough to start saying that everywhere, showing off and stuff. If you just pretend you own everything and use emulators to test stuff/don't use them at all you're pretty much safe.

Emulators are legal. Downloading games is not.

Roms themselves are illegal unless you dump your own copy. Even if you download a rom of a game you already own it's still illegal since it's not your copy.

A romhack itself isn't illegal unless it's distributed along with the original game.
