For those who were unable to buy a copy of Sam & Max: Surfing the Highway (myself included) at a reasonable price *cough* http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1569248141/ref=dp_olp_2/104-0108880-9177519?ie=UTF8&qid=1202416536&sr=8-4 *cough* can now pre-order a new copy for only $19.99.  Those more rich than others can buy the $50 hardcover version, signed by Steve Purcell himself...although you may have to wait a bit longer for your copy to arrive.  The cheaper, paperback ones will be sent out on February 25th.

From the website:
"Twenty years ago, they burst onto the indie comic book scene with a daring venture to the Philippines (drawn entirely without reference) called "Monkeys Violating the Heavenly Temple." Today they're the stars of an Eisner-nominated webcomic and a successful episodic game series. Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell and Telltale are celebrating these milestones with exciting news: the complete Sam & Max collection, Surfin' the Highway, is back in print!

In addition to all of the content of the 1995 original, the new edition contains 25 pages of content developed over the last two decades, bringing the page count to 197 with 45 pages in full color. The new content includes advertisements for the original Freelance Police comic book, a color version of "Fair Wind to Java," and recent paintings promoting Telltale's Sam & Max games and the upcoming DVD release of the Sam & Max Freelance Police animated series.

The collection is available in two versions: a paperback edition, and a limited edition hardcover. Both versions are available now for preorder purchase. The paperback will start shipping on February 25, and the hardcover is scheduled for a Spring 2008 release. (All merchandise on orders placed while the book is in preorder status will be held until the book is in stock.)"

Oh, and yes, you heard that right: The animated series is getting a DVD release.
