So, finished Ys: Oath in Felghana.  Definitely better than Ys VI in many ways overall.  The soundtrack is jammin' too, as expected from Falcom.

Now that's out of the way, not jumping straight into Ys Origin since there's another game on my backlog:  Transformers Devestation.

Cranked it up to hard mode, played as Optimus Prime and proceeded to get deconstructed over and over again by Devestator.  I eventually beat him though, so it's all prime.

So I've gotten a lot farther into Kid Icarus Uprising. I thought I was about to finish it before but to my surprise the game was much longer than anticipated.

The Pro's:
- Challenge level
- Number of weapons and weapon types
- Weapon fusion
- Controls
- The dialogue between Pit and Palutena is cute

The Con's:
- Repetitive (Power of flight sequences at the beginning of every stage gets a bit old)
- Little to no platforming (no jumping)
- Levels feel repetitive (for the most part)
- It doesn't feel so much like the previous "Kid Icarus" games
- OST is forgettable (aside from a couple of tracks)
- Dialogue with bosses becomes a bit much throughout levels

I keep playing it, it's kind of addictive, but I'm not so fussed if I miss secrets or the areas you can only get to on high difficulty.
I'll definitely finish it but I think I was expecting a bit more of traditional KI tbh. The first two KI's were heavily about platforming and finding secrets in nooks and corners somewhere. I don't know if this game fits the pro forma (in 3d) which the first 2 games have set up. It would've been cool if they'd kept certain elements like the enemies turning into hammers, etc.

After playing quite a bit of Transformers Devestation (good game by the way), I decided to dust off the good old Sega Genesis and clear the backlog of games there like Thunder Force III.  Since it's also nearing Halloween, I decided to start playing some Bloodlines again.  Hopefully I can beat the game as Eric Lecarde this time around.

Was finally able to get a lot of the Spiderweb Software RPGs I've been wanting to play for years. Now I'm trying to finish the first "Geneforge" game so I'll have enough time to play something more Halloween-themed. Geneforge is great though, Spiderweb's writing/world building is terrific, and exploration and combat is fun, do kind of wish the game had more textures, but what can you ask from about 4 people and 19mb I suppose.

Still playing through the free PS Plus games I've accumulated so I can free up more disk space. Played through Broforce...it was fun until it started to get buggy towards the end.

Playing Steamworld Dig now. I honestly didn't think I'd like it very much, but it's a pretty decent game. I like the progression through upgrades, and just seeing how far down the game goes. I've gotten to a point where it's much easier to die (stronger enemies, and TNT barrels that are easy to accidentally set off if your lantern is low), and death can be pretty devastating. I just died with a pouch full of materials (all gone now), and I lost half of my cash I had on hand. I was soooo close to a pickaxe upgrade... :'(
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Bought the PS4 release of TR: Rise of the Tomb Raider 20th anniversary today. It plays just like its predecessor so I had no trouble getting into it.

Playing Project X Zone at the moment. It's good, but it's definitely been overhyped.

Beat Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max Arcade mode
Gameplay: Never saw any problem during casual play, PSP version is definitely the final version and it's Arcade perfect +α
Final M.Bison and Shin Akuma are ridiculously tough to beat even set on difficulty 1. And I hate the things that I must keep distance and throw projectiles against the ridiculously tough bosses.
When controlled by player Final M.Bison became a charge-move based character like normal M.Bison which is not a 100% cool thing

BGM: I personally like character select and battle result, Cody and Guy theme are a bit too "dark" but OK and the BGMs fit the overall environment

System: PSP d-pad is not very comfortable for fighting games but I still chose X-ISM for all purpose
Turbo 7 speed is really cool. but Turbo 7 VS.CPU battle Reminds me how Turbo 10 in 16-bit era was a pain in the d**k.
I personally don't like the grab system because normal grab needs 2 buttons to activate

Characters: All around OK, graphic style meets my "personal interest" or "habit" but my most favorites are Guy and Cody, design-wise, personality, Final Fight nostalgia, etc.

Others: Loving it

Way deeper into Project X Zone. The game has grown on me a lot. I wasn't even fully clued into how to chain combos until chapter 10, but after playing it more and more the gameplay has become more engaging. It's no Fire Emblem Awakening, but it's very good.

Last night I purchased Double Dragon and Double Dragon II (arcade) on PSN. Played both games countless times, but I'll always buy them on whatever platform they appear. Well, except for Double Dragon III, that game totally sucks.

They also had the arcade version of Renegade. I grew up on the NES port, so I only played the arcade once or twice. Last night was the first time I sat down and played all 4 stages, and holy balls, that game is hard. I knew the final boss was a guy with a pistol (same as NES port), but I was not ready for the insta-death Yakuza knife guys in the parking lot. Stage 4 takes so much patience, something I'm terrible with. Still nice to play Double Dragon's predecessor, though.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Got a strange GBC game cartridge labled "Castlevania 2 Fuu'en Chapter". Just when I wonder if the ROM had been dumped it was spread on the Internet.
It's a pirate/bootleg port, based on Legend of Fuma/Getsu Fuu Ma Den on FC/NES, and they actually did a good job to port it to GBC.
They didn't forget to turn the background tiles to more Castlevania-akin
It has fluent and bright background that looks amazing on my GBA-SP and I like it more than original now
