I think the problem with Celceta was that the overworld was a bit confusing. It's really hard to figure out where to go at the beginning of the game, and you can easily wind up in an area you really aren't supposed to be in. The map is pretty confusing and doesn't give you a good idea of where you're supposed to be going. It just shoves two flags onto a blank map.
Exactly.

Also I'm not fond of the type of games that I can't continue if I closed those walkthrough strategy guides/reference videos online. Setting some extraordinary confusing flags in too much repeating places simply doesn't work at all. Or at least it don't work on me

A few games come to mind,
Iron Fisticle, It's basically Smash TV meets Ghosts n Goblins, great game and one of the few games that you can play for fun and score.
Insanity's Blade, got it for under a dollar, pretty good.
Doom, back at it again sinking hours into Doom with mods, this time D4D.
Lastly, Brawlhalla, It's a simplified Smash bros for PC, it's fun and great netcode.

The game definitely makes it more clear after you get past those first two flags. I never had any problems about where to go afterward. It's just that the problem is that those two flags are the beginning of the game, so you're spending your first hour or two of the game just completely lost. Not to mention there are random powerful enemies and bosses just hidden throughout the forest.

I love the game, and it's definitely my favorite Vita game, but that part at the beginning was a huge oversight.

I'm slowly making my way through The Last Guardian.  As an enormous fan of Shadow of the Colossus, I had high hopes for TLG.  But the frequently-horrible camera is kinda killing it for me, as well as occasional issues getting Trico to do what I want him to.  I just reached a part a few hours in where I guessed the solution to a puzzle within 30 seconds or so, but I gave up and scoured the area for other solutions just because the game's AI wouldn't recognize my controller inputs, which were correct from the start.  I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to control issues, but this game is ridiculous, especially given its 9-year development period.

I watched Dunkey's youtube vid of the game, and now I'm not so sure I want to play it. Which is a shame, since Ico and SotC were so good. It made for a funny video, at least.  :-\

I'm playing the hell out of Rogue Legacy. I haven't even progressed that far yet: I've only beaten the big eyeball boss (both forms). I'm just having fun collecting gold and upgrading the manor right now.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Goonies II was awesome. But Konami Man won't refill my health because I hit him.  :(

Just started playing Rise of the Tomb Raider...so far, so good. Pretty much the same as the previous game, but I loved that one. I kinda want to go back to Rogue Legacy and try for that achievement to beat the game in 15 generations or less, though. I probably couldn't get it anyway, but I think I just want an excuse to play it again.

That's a nice throw-back  ;D

Got me a Retro USB NES deck for Christmas and can finally play my old cart games once more.

Take your sweet time. I'm at 55 hours and delaying the main quest (currently at chap 6) again (took a lot of time sidequesting in chap 3) for even more side quests.

Fatal Fury 3. It's really like a watered-down Real Bout Fatal Fury and I eager to play RB instead... The environment, music, atmosphere of RB was awesome and the music means one of the top of NeoGeo to me.

The control engine and balance of Fatal Fury 3 was not built well but music helps since it has my favorite NeoGeo track - Geese Howard Round 1 theme (the RB version is the same). Actually I feel it should be two life meters like RB but there's only one life meter, and the character falls in few hits even after I set the difficulty to easy... I heard from somewhere, it says that Fatal Fury 3 was intended to be a prototype of Real Bout...

Yes definitely have been questing and doing a lot of hunts. I'm planning to see how far I can get without using Ascension, so far I'm on chapter 3 and I haven't touched it and touch wood no deaths thus far.

Shantae 1/2 genie hero, not as good as Pirate's Curse but still really good.
Bedlam (the one where go through many types of FPS games), Enjoyable, but VERY Janky; small dosages only.
MORE Brawlhalla, Smash bros for PC with great netcode.
Ziggurat, Holy Shit, a FPS rougelike, It's damn good.
Turok, I AM TUROK!

I did score more during the holiday, but haven't played them yet.

Got Doom 3 BFG Edition, but decided on playing the first two games that came with. Played the first Doom up to Thy Flesh Consumed and it's pretty fun and I can see why people would consider it a classic. Then I did a bit of 2 and it pretty much seems like the first game, but with more monsters and the super shotgun thrown in. That's not really a bad thing though, I liked the first one and I welcome more of it.

Healing items and phoenix downs are cheap or Gladio picks them up for free while walking when his survival level is high enough. I haven't gotten a game over screen yet but I had a close encounter with an effing coeurl who one-shotted me. The game gives you a few seconds to use a phoenix down.

Yes. I feel that I'm part of the road trip. Do not forget to listen to the radios scattered around because some important story points are narrated there and they change every chapter or so. I love the idea that the game lets you do things at your own pace.

I love fishing! It was the first skill that I maxed to 10. hahaha.

I've currently taken a short hiatus from the game due to year end festivities and stuff. But I'll return to it once things get back to normal next year.
