I chose the name because I was inspired by the vampire hunter x demo. You may or may not remember that but regardless this was the inspiration so as a nod to that I decided on this title. It also just so happens to mesh really well with my overall design plans.

The game doesn't take place in the normal cv world or anything. It will include 21 playable characters by the end of it. I plan to include all the good guys from the cv series. Because of that there is pretty much no way I could use any of the normal cv lore. But it also makes the name very fitting really.

I plan to allow the use of any given character right at the start. Basically all of those characters will have their own starting points. From the start you can begin working your way through stages. If you want to swap to a different character you can. All progress will remain in tact. This allows you to start down one path then change to another. At some point the paths will cross and you could take one character backwards down another characters starting path if you wanted.

Stages will work similar to the old cv games but be replayable once you clear them. The idea is that not every character can access every part of every stage. You will need to backtrack stages by playing them with a character that can access the areas you couldn't get to with others and so on. Some of that will lead you to collectables some of it even leads to a completely different path.

For now I am trying not to get to crazy with added features. Those are the core elements but I do have a lot of additional stuff that can be added at a later point.

If you are an artist I am going to be putting a photoshop template in the downloads section of the blog soon. The template is for the loading screen of the game. If you would like to do some cv artwork and have it displayed on the loading screen along with your signature you can use the template which has some mock elements of the load screen on it for reference. If you need a different format other than photoshop you can let me know and I can see about getting an alternative template up. I thought this would be a great way to include members of the community a bit more. Keep an eye on the blog for more info on that as well as the template.
