the only real problem with CoD was the flat environments,
it had 1/4 the amount of platforming even LOI had.  yeah
it's tough to have platforming elements with a 3-D camera,
but Ninja Gaiden Black showed it could be done pretty decently
(and for the record, Ninja Gaiden 2's level design is garbage compared to the first one by Tecmo.)

I don't think there's any question about it, it's definately Alucard. Interestingly enough, did anybody else think the way the sword appeared in his hand(actually, how the sword looked, as well) seemed a bit like Shanoa's glyphs? It reminds me of that red glyphic sword she has in all the artworks.

I am curious if this game is labelled as an Drac X title in jp because the previous ps1 and pc engine titles are heavily connected to one another.

Alucard is EVIL in this game. The vampire side in him awakens. Cyril and Alexis must stop him. For a bit.

hmm i'm sure what to make of it, i almost feel as if konami has been spying on my homemade game :p but it gives me little to no reason to purchase a ps3, theres only one game tempting me on that move so far, lol

Alucard is EVIL in this game. The vampire side in him awakens. Cyril and Alexis must stop him. For a bit.
But if he is evil in this game, I would think that vampire hunters, other than the Belmonts, would be trying to kill him rather than save him from himself.  Besides, even if that is true, in AoS and DoS he seems to be under control.  Plus in SotN, his vampire side is awake.  How else could he use his vampiric powers?
Most likely, the story of this game is about Alucard struggling to prevent himself from losing his balance between his human side and his vampire side.

Think of another possibility of why he looks that way.
Perhaps he has a brother that wields the red sword or this might just be what I said earlier which would be the history of Alucard.

Whatever, this game is clearly about Alucart!  He's pissed that he never got as much attention as Alucard.  Now he's going to take his Alucart sword and kill his father Tracula, once and for all destroying Casdlevania.

Who knows? Though it probably is Alucard, maybe that's a Belmont who is unable to wield the whip.

If this were a character with the exact same coat, gloves, entire outfit, with the same hair and looked just like Alucard, but wasn't, it would be ridiculously dumb, and I'd be pissed off

Also, Alucard has a flaming sword in Judgment.

^Lol Nero, anyone?

That doesn't look like a flaming sword though, it looks like materialized blood. Which I think would make more sense, if anything made sense in the first place.

Perhaps it has something to do with his Dark Metamorphosis ability from SotN?  Or the Marsil?  Could just be a new power/weapon that we know nothing about yet.  Doesn't have to be anything particularly ground-breaking.
