Kojima gave us word from Konami that we can proceed as long as we stay non profit. We must forge ahead with that info.

Such relief!! :D

I have 2 announcements to make

1. We have a casting update! Marissa Lenti has joined the cast! She has appeared in anime films such as Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan in addition to many games.

3. Mig has decided to make the demo (that you may or may not have heard of) public.
There are some disclaimers to keep in mind with the demo that will not reflect the final version of the game. We will list some of these things and ask people not to drill us on obvious things that we are aware of. It is about 3 levels long.

Keeping that in mind, we hope that you all enjoy the demo!

Keep posted here to know when it's available!

I don't mind the Fatal Gaps.

What I mind is, when I cannot tell what is background and what is a platform I can stand on, combined with projectiles that knock you off into the area below, which ALSO has projectiles.  Any chance you can go back to LC1 and just brighten up the platforms in that aqueduct and darken the ones that are 'wall'? :P

Just clarifying.

Major complaint I had with the first game, too. Some of the game's hazards also blend in way too much with the backgrounds.

Lecarde Chronicles 2 is looking great, though, and I'm pretty excited for the demo.

Take some time off, you owe it to yourself. The game's not going anywhere and it is almost done, so we can wait a little longer. However like everyone else you need time off to unwind or you'll crack. I should know as it happened to me back in 2011 and it's now late 2016, and I'm still reeling from that  :P :P :P  So take your girlfriend's advice and let lose!  ;)

I agree with X.
It's not nice to overwork yourself.
You can always move the release date. :)

Yeah, yesterday I was afraid of say it, but now Its very clearly that everybody thinks the same thing. Dont push yourself too hard, 90% of progress is a marvelous thing, but is not worth if it will cost your health. btw, with this huge progress I have no doubt that the game can be released before the expected date (april 2017), but im sure that everybody here can wait until then. use the time to rest, refine the game or add more content that you want  ;)

2. Sword swings seems to have very limited range when crouching; It will be pain to deal with ground enemies (Flea men, etc) in first few area
Add a move to be able to diagonal swing sword, or widen sword's range when crouching will be OK

Hi Aceearly1993!

Just thought I would let you know that the diagonal swing from a crouched position has been added! After getting the same request from a few other people close to our project Mig decided he should add it after all.

When we release the demo publicly make sure you play it again Aceearly1993! We think you will be happy with the changes.

Very happy to see such dedication from Castlevania fans who keep the series alive after the dark days of LoS and Konami's loss of interest in making proper video games. Please keep up the good work.

P.S.: Still enjoying the first game. Very nice.

;) Suddenly I thought I'd like to see a place in the game where I can just blow several dozens of enemies away, not too much, two or three will be OK, but I think it can cure players' desire of breaking stuff if such place exists

;D I'll be waiting for your information when you make the refined demo public
And two important and serious questions: Was freedom keyboard key mapping and adjust-able jumping height done?
