Title: Castlevania: The Organs and the Chorus
Post by: Amanita on June 14, 2008, 06:31:25 PM
I think Michiru Yamane did an excellent job with a lot of the Castlevania music. I think some other composers did the music along with her on the GBA and DS games. Still looking for some good sheet music though. Haven't really found anything yet. Anybody else a fan of the original scores?

Welcome to the forum, Amanita. BTW, I like your name. I'm guessing you got it from the nearly impossible to obtain item in Portrait of Ruin which you needed to complete a quest? A poisonous mushroom... cool!

I am also a huge fan of Yamane's work, and I can safely say she is my favorite musical artist. I would also like to find some good sheet music. There was a site that had some of her compostitions, the one Symphony of the Night, but when I tried to get there just now, it wouldn't show up. The site is called "Galbadia Hotel". They have lots of free MP3's and lots of free sheet music as well. I'm not sure if they're having problems or if they were shut down, but I'd check there sometime in the next few days. Well hope this helps and good luck. Welcome again, A!!

Welcome.

Yes Yamane-san rules. And she's kewt too :3 Out of all the CV development members I would love to meet her the most.

CVfan, probably just a broken link as those things go down all the time. People have to re-up them.

Her console scores are godly (why is her Bloodlines score so unknown?), but she's all but admitted she puts no heart for the handhelds' scores.

I'd like to see Yuzo Koshiro do a solo CV soundtrack in the future, or Sotaro Tojima (of CotM and SCIV fame) return.

Agreed. Like I said before, she's my favorite composer. And it's really annoying, rude, and ignorant when people criticize me for listening to music without words. I never understood why people like lyrics, all you really need to enjoy music is music! I appreciate it for what it is, and that's all I need.

Once again, I couldn't have put it better myself.

MUSIC'S about the MUSIC, beyotches! And you can't go wrong with the tunes videogames have to offer.
