...that they made a manga out of CoD in Japan? (reference would be:
http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Curse_of_Darkness_Manga)
Aka a forum game, where everybody replies with a tidbit of CV-info about the series or/and our CV-community, what they think might be known in lesser extent by the readers. :)
And everybody can comment & naturally answer, if they knew already! ;D
Acclaims can be tagged with a reference/where you heard it, and the wildest ones must be tagged to avoid plainly making sh3it up,please. ;)

(Aka a forum game, where everybody replies with a tidbit of CV-info, what they think might be known in lesser extent by the readers. :) )
And everybody can answer if they knew already, but ofcourse! ;D
The wildest acclaims must be tagged with a reference, so no making up shit PLZ! >:(
;D
Yes, I know that.
BTW did you know that Alucard's voice actor in DXC is going to be the voice of Cecil in Final Fantasy IV DS?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_Lowenthal
Also Isaac's voice actor from CoD is going to be the voice of Kain?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_O%27Brien
Cecil. Kain. Get it? ;)
-
I totally didn't know that! :P
But did you know, that the original first batch print of SotN (with the art book/pamphlet)goes out for ~120-150 USD:s inside European markets? :o
Also, did you know that Jorge D. Fuentes posts @ the ICVD-forums too, often promoting his caek-ba3king skillz? ;D
-
And also, did yu know that an english version of said manga will be released in America this fall! :o
I think this is all old news....
-
Did you guyz know that a person named KY-RA did a graphics hack of Castlevania Legends that made Sonia and a lot of enemies much better-looking? They gave her a sword and armor and the enemies look less squiggly.
It's true, but I don't have screenshots off of my emu to prove it. :P
-
Did you know that dawn of sorrow and portrait of ruined kastlevania were designed with 12 year old animu/mango fanboy kids in mind? :o

In Reply To #6
Yeah, I did. You keep posting in in... like every. single. thread.

Did you know, that you can get different sets of musics in CV Chronicles/PSX in addition to the revamped & 1st given original sountracks?
--->
Sound Module Select:
Hold L1 and R1 while selecting Original Mode, and you'll unlock an option to change the music played in the game. This works in Arrange mode, as well.
Edit: Also, did you know how one of the CVDungeon members, called ThinkThank, fooled almost the entire CV-community and even a few news-sites about the much anticipated Portrait of Ruin, by making very believable photoshopped "news" about the game?
-
Here's some fun facts
Did you know that if you plug in AoS & DoS at the same time, a little Mina doll appears in Yoko's room?
Also, if you constantly attack the chicken, a whole flock will come in from nowhere & attack yo--wait, wrong series.
Uhh if you super down kick the bookshelf in the first portrait, things go flying all over the place

In Reply To #7
ok. i never did that in the first place, but since you're begging me on your knees, i'll consider doing that. ;)
you also missed the purpose of this thread, so post your own "did you know" about the cv series or gtfo.
-
There's a bust of Dracula in the upper right-hand corner of Hammer's shop in DoS.
In Cordova Town, in one of the open areas with the executioners it's possible to see the abandoned castle in the distance.
-
That's not Dracula, it's one of those Konami head things.

I did not know this.
Also, Azmodan, I'm surprised I did not know that about Cordova, considering I love it so much, expecially those open areas you mentioned. Did you know that if you look down below the cliffs in those areas you can see the first part of the stage you went through, only in micro-arial view mode?
-
Not exactly about Castlevania, but...
Did you know, that in the game Zombies Ate My Neighbors, there is an enemy named "Vlad Belmont the Vampire"?
-
did you know that the original akumajou dracula has an additional track not in the nes version on the save screen and when you beat the MSX version there is also an extra music track at the end. (which is pretty tight I might add)
Did you know Death is Gold in the MSX game and starts out in the center of the room. (making the fight alot tougher)
-
Did you know that there's a statue of Dracula's 3rd form from CVIII in the Cave of Jigramunt in CoD?

did you know there are such things as pawn shops and garage sales to get rid of stuff you don't like?
did you know that there are plenty of mature people who enjoy Portrait of Rockin' Kastlevania?
-
These have been talked about in the past, but they're still kinda lesser known tidbits.
Did you know:
That Konami made a manga for LoI that was for download on cell phones in Japan. There are 27 pages and a cover. I don't know if there was ever any more than that. It was basically the last battle between Mathias and Leon.
That ReSaurus originally had the license to do Castlevania toys but went out of business before anything was made. The only thing that exists for that line as far as I know is a character mock up sketch of the succubus.
That Konami made Kid Dracula plush dolls back in 1992. There are only six that I know of. Kid Dracula as a bat with a black hat, Kid Drac as a bat with a yellow hat, a zombie, a bat, a turtle, and a girl Frankenstein.

Did you know that that track was remade as the Name Entry music of Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance?
Did you know that other 'loading' screens have been remade in other games, like DraculaX Chronicles using the "Loading" music from Akumajo Dracula X68000/The "Other" Chronicles?
-

ah thanks I knew that track sounded familiar.
-
did you know that in harmony of dissonance you have no ceiling detection while you brandish your whip? not that it can be put to any use without gamesharks, but thanks to that you can go through any ceiling.

So, they have finished that project?

Hey Serio, it's one thing to hate a game. there's nothing wrong with that.
but if you're going to use a thread that has nothing to do with expressing opinions on a certain game to bitch about it and insult people who think differantly than you, Then I'm going to do the same thing and contradict you.
you act like PORE (Portrait of Ruling Excellence)

In Reply To The Argumentative People,
That's enough, guys.
Let's not bring the old cliche "Fixed" stupidity into these forums.
You're derailing the purpose of the thread with the bickering.
In Reply to The Last Belmont,
How do you know he's left-handed? Doesn't the sprite reverse itself when you turn the other way? Or does it show him left-handed in the instruction booklet or something? In any case, I did not know that.
Did you know that there was an extra stage in the early build of Castlevania Bloodlines, set in a Zeppelin?
Did you know that the UNOFFICIAL game before it, Castlevania64/Legacy of Darkness, has such a Zeppelin on display on one of the stages, the Castle Center?
-
did you know that you can sit at olrox's chair when he's still on it?
lol
-
Did you know, how poor ole Jonathan Morris was asked to cut his hear, before being able to star in CV:PoR?
Proof:

Did you know that there's a statue of Dracula's 3rd form from CVIII in the Cave of Jigramunt in CoD?
Did you know that a statue of the same form of Dracula appears in the Skeleton Cave in HoD? And that in the same room, in the other castle, there is a statue of Carmilla's mask from Simon's Quest/Rondo?
-
-Did you know that AoS's last boss and LoI's undead parasite have some strange similarities?
-Did you know that CoD and LoD are also bizarrely similar?
-

Do I win? Anyways, in the Helsing game there's a book that "catches your eye" about "The Belmonts". :D That one always made me chuckle.

Death's in it too. :3

In Reply To Serio,
I would have taken this to PM, but you decided to make it a public thing with your wonderfully red text of seriousness text of redness (Yay redundancy). So, here it goes:
If a moderator steps in and asks people to stop something, then they should comply. It's not like you were posting while I was posting. There was plenty of time to comply to what I had said, but instead of doing so, you decided that you needed to get the last word, so you went ahead and put it in, so I edited your post as a result.
You chose to continue something that 1. has nothing to do with the thread and 2. disregarded my Moderation Request.
People are free to think that I'm venting on you personally, which I'm not. However, you did do the initial trolling on this thread back on page 1, Post#6
Did you know that dawn of sorrow and portrait of ruined kastlevania were designed with 12 year old animu/mango fanboy kids in mind?
You disregarded the spirit of the thread, with your flamebait post (which again, was not a fact, but rather an opinion that you needed to place, and had nothing to do with the thread). I spotted this reply but I figured "Hey, I don't need to be a GameFAQs mod and remove this, even though it is flamebait material". Sure enough, it attracted the flames.
Don't make it like I'm the asshole who's picking on you. Also, I don't 'need' to remove anything.... especially when you're just making me do more unnecessary work because you feel you need to be vindicated. I'm not forum-members' babysitter, but I will stop FlameWars from continuing, one way or another.
I told the general public to stop, and made an example by pointing out the last thing I noticed, which was that "Fixed" thing that people like to do (which is obnoxious but we all know that).
YOU disregarded, so I edited YOUR post to reflect that, and if it would've continued with someone else's post, I would've edited/deleted theirs, and if it happened again I probably would've locked the entire thread.
If you want to continue this discussion, I suggest you do it privately over PM. I'm only replying right now publicly, like this, because you made a public outcry.
Please do not corrupt this thread any more than it already is. This last message applies to all the parties involved in the argumentative discussion.
OK, enough buzzkilling this thread. Carry on, nothing to see here.

I noticed you edited one of my posts, and I would like to apologize for adding to the continuation of something that was asked to be stopped. I am very sorry and will try to avoid this in the future. :-[

Did you know that one of the paintings in CotM's Audience Room is an actual painting?
I'm too lazy to find the images. Go search the old forums, you vultures.
-
did you know it's Possible to beat the original castlevania without taking a single hit?
-
Did you know that useing the CV double pack, even though it has AoS in it, dose not make the mina doll show up in DoS?
-
Did you know that in the Castlevania Double Pack, in Harmony of Dissonance, there's a typo in the game's "okay" ending? (You know, the one when Juste saves Lydie, but Maxim dies anyway?) This is an exact quote of how Juste replies when Lydie suggests they both go home:
"That sound good." Haha, what's wrong with you, Juste?
-
did you know that harmony has a secret monster, that can't be accessed anywhere other than debug mode, and all it does is walk around and be invincible anyway?
(it was a tech demo for the multi jointed armors, though for whatever reason it moves more naturally than they do. it's nice since no other game had anything like that)
-
did you notice that the clock tower staple of the castlevania series was NOT introduced in the original?
The Original had a brief clock tower, but the gears were stopped and there were no medusas, so it didn't really have the same vibe as CVIII's.
-
Did you know that in Castlevania Legacy of Darkness, through the entire game, they incorrectly spelled werewolf? They spelled it "warewolf" instead.
-
Did you know that in both of the N64 Castlevania games, Renon, the demon merchant, will try to kill you if you buy too many items in his shop? He will meet you in the Castle Keep and transform into a monster, and you have to kill him.
-
Did you know that in Castlevania 64, if you take too long to get to the Master's Keep, Vincent the vampire hnter is turned into a vampire whom you have to kill?
-
In Reply To #42
Good Ole Charlie V.? Noooo! He was cool.
-
Charlie Vincent was the dumbest most useless and idiotic vampire killer to ever live! :o

...but did you know he saves your character's ignorant ass if you do well in the game?
"Don't you understand!? This child is really Dracula!" and douses him in HolyWater just before he gets you.
-
True, but it's not my fault Carrie's an idiot. How did he get up there anyway? Last I checked all he had were a bunch of crosses and holy water. He's fat!
Did you know that in the science tower in Legacy of Darkness, the room with the guns along the wall and the bridge has no barriers in hard mode? Just a warning for CVFan13!
-
I got a did you know =D
Did you know you can make the loading text move with the controller in SoTN? If you dont your a n000b!!!!! N000000000000000000000BBBBBB!!!!
-
Did you know that in the original verison of legend of demon castle for nes the clouds move across the screen in the opening?
Did you know that it's actually possible to beat every boss in the original castlevania with just the whip?
Did you know that in vs castlevania there's an actual kill screen if you play it long enough.
Did you know in nes castlevania on draculas true form if you kneel down in front of him he'll always do a big jump that you can walk under?
-
Did you know that in SoTN, when getting hit by yellow medusa heads and turing into a statue that sometimes you turn into a statue of demon monster?
-
Did you know that there's an extra conversation between Soma and Mina at the end of Aria of Sorrow if yo collect 100% of the game's souls? I did!
-
Did you know that there's an extra conversation between Soma and Mina at the end of Aria of Sorrow if yo collect 100% of the game's souls? I did!
How long extra did that take you to get all the souls?
-
A looooooong time, haha. Actually, I had collected most of the souls already, having beaten the game 9 times, so I was only missing 18 when I actually started looking. I only needed to search for like 2 hours to get the ones I still didn't have. There are some annoying ones. The poison worm took me about an hour of repeated kills and apparently, for the mandragora, you can't just kill the skeleton. You have to kill the actual plant after he pulls it out of the ground, but before it explodes. The arc demon took forever too.
-
Much respect. I got a good chunk of em but maybe I will sit down one day and just knock em all out.
-
How many do you need? I can help you if you need help finding any of them! ;D

Give me a day or so and I will let you know.
Thanks for the help.

Did you know that in Harmony of Dissonance, you can play boss rush mode as both Simon and Maxim, Simon by entering the Konami Code before the title screen, and Maxim by holding L and R until you choose a difficulty setting?
-
Did you know in the Dracula X Chronicles version of SoTN that you can keep all your items simply by holding left when entering the first meeting with death. It will skip this meeting though, but will make the game ridiculously easy.
-
did you know that if you collect all pieces of furniture in hod and put them away into the room, the best ending will slightly change?
juste will walk one step closer to lydie who will cling to his arm.
-
Did you know that (keeping true to vampire legend) Alucard has no reflection in Dawn of Sorrow?
-
Did you know that in Portrait of Ruin, you can change the characters' voices to Japanese?
