How many Castlevania's have you beat? and Name them.
Symphony of the night
Dawn of Sorrow
Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania 1
Lament of innocence
Curse of Darkness
Portrait of Ruin
Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania Legends
Castlevania Simons Quest II
Bloodlines
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
Castlevania's I have not beat:
Castlevania II-III-IV (Real close on IV just need to pick it up and beat it)
Castlevania 64 - (I need to play this from the beginning)
Castlevania Legacy of Darkness (Someone stole this from me)
Castlevania Chronicles (Iam on the last level will beat it this week)
Circle of the Moon- (Far but I just stopped....I dont know why? Iam going to pick it up again)
Haunted Castle (I hate this game)
Castlevania Adventure- Almost done with this one.
-
it'd be easier to say which i didn't beat
cod, because the game freezes in drac's castle
vampire killer for msx
dracula x chronicles, i have no psp
that's it.
-
Wow Serio, that's impressive! Due to my lack of consoles, this is it... :'(
Castlevania
Harmony of Dissonance
Circle of the Moon
Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania 64
Legacy of Darkness
Dawn of Sorrow
Portrait of Ruin
I need more... :'(
-
Hah! I've beaten even less than you did Gimph! I win! ... :'(
Symphony of the Night
Circle of the Moon
Harmony of Dissonance
Aria of Sorrow
Notice the severe lack of games. ....Considering I just became a Castlevania fan (and until then only played SotN) about 2 months ago, I guess it's good progress. I'm stuck on Stage 7 in both DXC and Rondo..
The ones I have tried but are FAR FAR FAR FAAARRR from finishing:
Bloodlines
Belmont's Revenge
Legends
Castlevania
Simon's Quest
Castlevania III
The ones in bold I only just started yesterday. Emulation ftw. :P I really need to play more... and to get a DS.
-
Oh, well I've beaten every Castlevania title I've ever played. They're so addicting. I'm stuck repeating the same games over and over because those are all I have... :'(
-
They ARE addicting.. Thing is, it looks like as of now I've bitten of more than I can chew :( What with school and all. ... I'm working on it! ;D
-
School? Where I am, we're enjoying summer vacation. Plus, I played during all my classes anyway and never got caught. How else did you think I had the time to collect all 100% of souls in Aria of Sorrow? ;D
-
idn't there already a thread for this? any way I beat em' all. Just beat nes original only using the whip and no gameovers!
-
nes trilogy, bloodlines, super 4, symphony, and everything from this decade minus the first chronicles
-

Can you also do that in Haunted castle version M?
-
i wouldn't subject my worst enemy to be forced to play, let alone beat that.
-
In Reply To #8
People make the same exact threads in between a couple months, I've noticed.
-
I'll take the same approach as Serio. The ones I have not beaten:
Vampire Killer for MSX(I don't have it)
Haunted Castle(I don't have it/Haven't seen it in any arcades)
Vs. Castlevania(Same reason as Haunted Castle)
Castlevania: Dracula X(SNES, I don't have it)
Legends(I don't have it)
Bloodlines(I don't have it)
Castlevania 64(I don't have it)
So, basicaly, the only games I haven't beaten are the ones I don't have.
Oh, wait, I forgot all the nutzo Commodore/Amiga/PC ports of CV1, but I also don't have them.
-
Oh, come on CVFan, can you really say you've beaten Legacy of Darkness? You only beat normal mode with one character. At least beat Henry's quest...
-
In Reply To #14
Shut up. I consider the game beaten if I've beaten the main mode.
-
In Reply To #12
Yeah, that happens when new people enter the board.
-
In Reply To #15
I'm sorry. I'm just saying, it's my opinion. It shouldn't matter to me how you look at it, considering you'll have to beat the rest of the game's features anyway. Have you started hard mode by the way?
-

Have you thought about emulation? It would give you a chance to play those until you can get the carts or track down/buy an arcade machine.
Oh, wait, I forgot all the nutzo Commodore/Amiga/PC ports of CV1, but I also don't have them.
your not missing out, those all suck big time, and where the cheap guys who didn't want to shill out for the nes copy's way back in the day to play the game.
-
In Reply To #18
#1: I have emulated most of those, but I'm not really considering driving myself nuts to get them.
#2: I never said I was missing out, it would just be something else cool to say for myself if I had them and beaten them. :)
-
I have a NES but no games for it. I should get some!
-
Castlevania I: Finally managed to beat it in one life and even took out Frank and Igor without holy water once)
Castlevania II
Castlevania IV
Circle
Harmony
Aria
Dawn
PoR, countless times over and still enjoying every minute of the game
-
I have completed:
Castlevania
Castlevania 2
Castlevania 3
Super Castlevania 4 (probably my favorite)
Rondo of Blood (close second to SC4 for my favorite)
Chronicles (arrange mode only)
Dracula X (I will never play again)
Symphony of the Night
Circle of the Moon
Harmony of Dissonance
Aria of Sorrow
Dawn of Sorrow (my fav Castleroid)
Portrait of Ruin (Richter mode is awesome)
The closest thing to a 3d Castlevania I have finished was the Morrowind mod, which I thought was very cool.
-
Beaten them all, and proud of it.
-
Can you also do that in Haunted castle version M?
-
yeah if I had 5 years to do nothing

Castlevania III
Super Castlevania IV
Castlevania: Bloodlines
Castlevania 64
Castlevania Legacy of Darkness
Circle of the Moon
Harmony of Dissonance
Aria of Sorrow
Dawn of Sorrow
Portrait of Ruin
I think I may have beaten Legends and the other one for the Gameboy (I used to own the physical cartridges)
-

you sold your own gb carts? that sucks man, were you just in a slump finacially and needed the money? I've been there but my CV collection I could never sell, I'd have to go w/out eating.
-
Actually I lost them a long time ago. I think the only games i've ever sold/given away are Sonic Advance and Megaman Battle Network for the GC
-
Actually I lost them a long time ago.
aw that sucks man, the carts are so hard to find nowadays.
-
Legends was for the first Gameboy, right? Is it compatible with Gameboy Color? If so, I'm going on EBay!

Yeah, also with GBA, SP, and GB Player on Gamecube. But be prepared to spend $40+, they're rare.
-
It works on a Gameboy SP?! I don't care how much it costs, I'm getting it! :o
-
I found one on amazon.com for $25 (plus shipping... :'() and Castlevania Adventure for $4! Oh my gosh, this is my chance! Must get games!
-

*buys the one on amazon.com*

Let's see:
Castlevania
Super Castlevania IV
Rondo of Blood
Belmont's Revenge
Dracula X Chronicles
Symphony of the Night
Circle of the Moon
Harmony of Dissonance
Aria of Sorrow
Dawn of Sorrow
Portrait of Ruin
Curse of Darkness
Legacy of Darkness
I've gotten close to beating Bloodlines and Dracula's Curse, but never quite made it...
-
*Kills CVFan13 and steals the game*
JK, you can have it, I don't really care for Legends right now.
-

You've beaten Legends? Why would you say don't play it? Is it really THAT bad? I need a new Castlevania game, and I was considering buying it... :-\
-
In Reply To #41
Castlevania Legends is a rather uninspired game. Sonia is slow and unresponsive, the enemies are lame and poorly drawn, the levels are at times confusing (there are parts where you are plunged into a pit full of zombies for no good reason) and not funny at all. You have some magic spells, but you'll only want to use the one which replenishes all of your life (their use is very restrictive, though). Later in the game you'll find Alucard (to test your strength, no less!), but his game sprite looks more like Don Quixote. And Dracula... Well, Dracula is a demon made of jelly with a dettachable head.
If you haven't played Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, you should buy it instead. It's the best from the original Gameboy trilogy. Legends is also playable, but try not to spend too much money on it.
-
Wow, thanks a lot! You saved me some money, as Belmont's Revenge is cheaper. I appreciate it. However, I first have to complete the original NES Castlevania again before I do anything else. I seem to be having some trouble, which makes sense, considering I haven't played in ages. I'm stuck in the final stage, unfortunately. Those giant bats are annoying me... :-\
-
I just played through Rondo Of Blood and I also cleared the SNES port of Dracula X. It's kind of weird that Konami didn't use the tileset from the waiting room for the castlevania hall level on the whole level, it's much better then the purple one.
-
Legends was for the first Gameboy, right? Is it compatible with Gameboy Color? If so, I'm going on EBay!
yup and all gameboys except micro and DS where nintendo decided to get cheap and only make them Advance backwards compatible.

The trick is to jump up right when you see the ones above you so they move forward a little bit then walk under them and they won't have time to do anything. The ones beneath you just have to be jumped over properly, you just have to know when to jump and luckily there's just 2 of those.

Symphony of the Night
Circle of the Moon
Harmony of Dissonance
Aria of Sorrow
Dawn of Sorrow
Portrait of Ruin

Nocturne in the moonlight, don't waste the money on that port -of HK it isn't worth it. They'll probably release it as a pack in in some future game but spending all that money for a mediocre verison of NES CV God Mode style just really isn't worth it and I don't want you to get it home and hate it, becaue I have a feeling this is probably gonna happen because it takes a much higher level of skill than even nes cv and you said you busted up your GB SP on that one.
-
In Reply To #52
Oh, lol. No, that was before I got that game on NES and I mastered it. But yeah... actually, I decided to buy some big CV collection instead, HC port is in there though, as well as some other cool stuff.

If you want a lot of the CV stuff I have, you've gotta go eBay, and find some rare deals. ;)

I'd kill for it. Unfortunately, I'm currently broke...Well, five bucks won't get me very far, considering shipping costs...

Deal. Last time got a bit...out of hand, so I'll leave it at that. ::)
-
In Reply To #63
Actually --not spamming-- if you find any really cheap sales for the original Gameboy trilogy, tell me. I can't seem to find Castlevania Adventure II (surprise, surprise) anywhere.
Anyway, back to the topic... :D
-
In Reply To #65
*sigh* eBay. I do know that at some point the trilogy(carts only) was being sold for $60. Actually, Gimph, if I win this collection I'm looking at, I'll have some stuff to keep from it, some stuff to sell, but some of that stuff is the 2 Adventure games, which I already have... if you're interested.
-
In Reply To #66
Dude, I swear, that WASN'T there when I went on the site! :o
-
CV fan 13
Yeah I wanna get a castlevania shirt too, I"m just waiting for a good one like a shot of the first nes cart with the words, the road to becoming a real man or something funny/cool underneath. The ones they have out now are lame or the average joe wouldn't know what it was which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing it, least in my case.
-
There are some custom ones on eBay, just search for Castlevania in the clothes/apparel area.

Yeah but I don't use ebay on account paypal is shit and has me stuck in this loophole and ebay won't let you just use your bank account or credit card which is somemore bullshit. I can't close an old account I used to share or change anything because it's under an old GF's name who I hate now and lives out of state. So my debit card is stuck there and I can't even take it off until she fixes it. I tried opening up a new one under my name but lt won't let you put the same card on a diff account even if the old one is dead.which is ridiculous and the person who came up with that shit should be taken out into the street and shot. If I wanna put my card on 5 peoples accounts that's my business and even if someone illegally obtained my card and was using it, I couldn't even put it on a new account if I later became a member even if I reported the fraud until they manually took it off their account which if fucked up.

Games I haven't beat without any aid from emulators/game genies.
Castlevania III(made it to Dracula)
Castlevania Adventure(maybe I got to the end of level 4?)
Castlevania 64(made it to Drac's last form)
Haunted Castle, Vampire Killer, and Legacy of Darkness I only played for some time through emulation.

Castlevania Adventure
I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive from somewhere in Georgia. How did you like it?
-
In Reply To #76
Can't you, like kidnap your old GF, hold a gun to her head and force her to close the account? Or, perhaps you can talk things out like a civilized human being.... But wait, if it's under her name and your credit card, can't she just buy anything she wants and have the money taken from your bank account? That's f*cked up....
-
In Reply To #79
Sorry, CVFan, there's a little thing called "excessive force."

Hmm... I see, must be awkward, but really depends on the whole situation. Maybe you contact eBay somehow? They might be able to do something. Wait... don't you know the password to the account? If you do, I'm pretty sure there's a way to close it down...

nope, I've tried ebay just said to talk to her and get her to do it but she won't because for one she hates me and isn't going to go through that kind of trouble and I coiuldn't do it even with her password and everything it's long and takes forever, probably about as long as it takes for the public school system to fire a teacher. You have to have a letter sent to your house with some sort of code/password they
