We all know that Dracula gets a new form in each game, both in his human-ish form and his Dracula Ultimate (True Dracula) form. So, I was wondering, what's your favorite form of Dracula?
Mine is from Castlevania 64, Malus, the evil little prince of darkness. At first, Malus is just a scared little kid you find in the Villa's garden maze, or so he seems. You help him escape from the Frankenstein Monster and his two evil stone dogs. After Malus escapes through the forest gate, you would think he was gone, that he went home and is safe. Well, you were wrong because you actually see him again in the castle center about half way through the game. He says some very strange things to you, asking if you were going to fight Dracula and avenge his parents. You say yes, and his eyes turn pinkish and he goes all evil saying how you cannot kill Dracula and how you will "Die like Wretches". You actually don't see him again until the very last level. After you kill what you think to be Dracula, the castle begins to crumble, and as you escape, you meet up with Malus one last time while he's riding on his creepy looking purple flying unicorn, which I assume is a nightmare. You climb onto the roof of one of the buildings in the Master's Keep, and he reveals to you that he is Dracula. He then transforms into an adult form more suitable for the Lord of Darkness, and also very cool looking. Then, after defeating him, he transforms into his child form again, and your idiot character thinks he's back to normal, and reaches to help him. Then, Charlie Vincent pops up out of nowhere and douses Malus with holy water. It is then where he transforms into True Dracula, which looks like a giant mixture of a dragon and a centipede. It's actually pretty cool looking and extremely powerful, with it's ability to make giant explosions and summon flaming serpents. Then, you defeat him, sealing him away in a big shiny portal. Also, if you get the bad ending, Malus marries Carrie, knowing her power could be useful to him. Yes, he's still evil.

From the ones I've played (very few) I'd still say Symphony of the Night. He has a heart (I don't mean literally :P ) there. XD I love that final conversation with Alucard..
Oh, and the big monster variety thing was cool too.
-
I still think Malus and his creepy purple unicorn pwn the world. Have you seen that thing?! It's awesome!

cod's jesus dracula
-
dxc's. that secret final form was a bitch. makes it all the more rewarding kicking his ass.

I would agree. Also, I like you're "Jesus Dracula" name for him. I think you mentioned on the Chapel that you call him that because he seems kinda like a sort of messiah? Like when he looks like a cross in his transformation to true form? I would also agree with these.

My favorite is SoTN Dracula. The interaction with his son is great.

I like the Super Castlevania IV, because i believe he's the most original, since he has only one form that is getting harder instead having a second form.

what's that from?
-
his msx beginning version with just the skeleton in the robe, that was tight and I also love his Cod second form that one was awesome he looked like some kind of demented evil angel. (killed satan and stole his soul maybe? that would be a kickass plot twist).
-
Agree with most of you that Dracula was best in SotN, however I'd say only character-wize, the first fight ofcourse is the DCX clone and the last, for some reason I don't really like. For the fight though, I'd have to go with PoR (on a harder setting). Also I really like the Bloodlines fight, especially the trippy last part.

yeah his second form in por was awesome too, but it appears to be the CoD form again with a darker hue due to death's assistance.
Also I really like the Bloodlines fight, especially the trippy last part.
yeah that was cool and showed genesis' power, the supernes couldn't do that under those parameters.

The original Castlevania ported to the Amiga.

PoR and CoD shared a lot of enemies and such. Those two Dracula's are two of the most similar final forms.

It looks like Dracula fused with Ronald MacDonald. That is one freaky combination. :o

Chronicles Dracula.

Yeah I personally did not like the amiga versions graphics. It's like they tried to go out of their way to make all the sprites Goofy lookin'.
-
CoD Dracula. He looked and sounded pretty much exactly as Dracula should. If only he had talked about the right subjects too.
His ultimate form is likely the biggest, baddest Drac form there is.
-
DXC Final Form. It was total badass.
-
Dracula in Dxc, SotN, and PoR.

I really loved the expression they gave his eyes in CoD. It just felt perfect for Dracula.
-
I've never played it...
-
I'd have to go with the SotN/PoR/DXC Dracula. I think I like the older Dracula best. Though, Castlevania 64's Dracula was a neat twist. Not too often in a game where the main villian marries the hero in the end (While still being evil).

Someone didn't get the good ending... :P
-
I can't get the bad ending! Every time I try, I still get the good ending! Next time, I need to sit there and not move, and leave the game on for a week! Then I should get the bad ending! ;D

PoR/DXC
you're doing it wrong. he was young in those.

I hate the Portrait of Ruin Dracula. His skin is like green! :o I think Malus in his adult form looks a lot better. Haha, they make it so dramatic, how they slowly move the camera angle up to his face, and when he's defeated, it shows him dying then does a slow motion close up to his face! Then he explodes, and stuff. Of course, then you fight the giant Centipede. ;D

Just use a shit ton of sun/mmon cards before you go to the castle keep.
And I really appreciate what they were doing with PoR Dracula. It was a nod at the series origins for its 20th anniversary.
-
Probably a lot easier that way, instead of waiting! ;D
-
I thought PoR Dracula looked stupid as hell.

He looked like classic Bela Lugosi Universal Drac, without which we would have no Castlevania.
-
Nah.. without Bram Stoker's Dracula there would be no Castlevania.
-

Exactly!

You are right, but I am to. Castlevania was inspired by the universal studios monsters. Guess who really jump started that (after Lon Chaney)Bela Lugosi's Dracula. Dracula was no where near as popular before that movie. And without that, there would be no Castlevania. But with Bram Stoker, there would be no movie. So it really is thanks to both of them, as well as many more people.
-
Fair enough, but it still doesn't change the fact that he looks utterly lame in PoR :P

You might wanna check that link. Baby Bowser says hotlinking is not allowed.

that picture wasn't used anywhere in the game, so who gives a fuck? otherwise why do people whine about dos animu faces, when kojima drew superior pictures of it too?
this is the only thing that counts:

and it looks totally retarded.

Of course it looks retarded - It's Portrait of Ruin!
Goodness, he looks even worse than I remember! :o
-
I'm telling you, he's totally John Stamos!
-
I think I'm the only one who appreciates the original Rondo Dracula.
-
In Reply To #44
No, I actually think he really looks like a slightly younger version of SotN Drac, the DXC remix of him just looks to different to be SotN Drac from a few years ago.

*sigh* Uninformed twit. Just google image search his name, John Stamos.

Oh, okay. :)

Did ya do it? Doesn't he look JUST like PoR Drac?

John stamos is awesome, he's my idol.
-
His human forms are the best in SOTN and CoD, I think. His true form looks the best in PoR. Totally badass. Though his human form there looks... like a green Jesse Katsopolis.
