I know that this is in extremely difficult question to answer, but what's your favorite Castlevania boss fight?
Mine is Malus, of course, from Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness.
-
Ricter Belmont in SotN.
-
Zombie dragons in Cotm.
-
My second is Joachim from LoI. Third is Trevor(2nd time) in CoD.
-
Death from CV1, and the Werewolf from X68000.
-
I also forgot Maxim.... and Hugh... and Dario...
-
Dario? Why Dario? Ugh... :P
-
PoR. Lv.1 cap. Hard mode.
Richter vs. the sisters. That battle was so fucking cool. I was sliding all over the place, spinning the whip like crazy and using grand cross as a shield.
The fight with death was a close second.

FIREEEEE!!!!!!!
....and the way he burned that entire garden was just soo cool. Plus, I just the sounds he makes when you kick the crap out of him, and the music was also neat *runs to go replay DoS*

I've always loved the Zombie Trevor, Grant, sypha fight in SotN. Also, the last set of bosses in SCV4, Slogra, Gaibon, Death, and Dracula, I always loved those
-
Gergoth. Hands down. I've always loved CV for the atmosphere and music, but I would love DoS for Gergoth alone. The music, the gameplay, the level design, everything just came together perfectly in that fight.
-
Hugh Battle most epic -with that soundtrack.... <3-
-
Curse of Darkness Death. It's especially good because you don't get a break between him and Isaac.
-
Death from CV1,
I agree, I also loved the death fights in Simon's quest and Akumajou densetsu.
-
I'm surprised no one's mentioned the fight with Julius in Aria yet.
I was pretty much blown away when he essentially tore apart a chunk of the castle with that cross move, midway through the battle.
It was also the best-programmed one-on-one fight (against a human opponent) I've experienced in a 2D CV game. Hugh is very close, though.
-
Gergoth in DoS (collapsing floors ftw). He's so nicely animated. ;_;
Then Olrox. He has so much more style than Drac. And his 2nd form is kinda creepy. That noise he uses to make. I love him.
And Julius in AoS is really really cool. I like man to man fights.
-
Gergoth was awesome.
-
Shaft in RoB and Death in Bloodlines were both pains in the ass, because they make you go through a ton of other bosses first.
-
Well mine's rather different. Granfalloon SotN/ Legion AoS. :P The human boss fights, especially Julius and Richter were really cool too. :)
-
Ortega, Death and Actrise from Legacy of Darkness were all excellent boss fights.

....Not ringing a bell and I beat that not too long ago. Wasn't a very memorable game.

That's rather strange, considering it's one of the most memorable games I've ever played. It's what actually got me into Castlevania for real. (Started with CoTM, loved it, yet was a bit alienated by HoD).

I agree with corneliab, the fight between julies and soma was crazy awesome and AoS was my 5th favorite castlevania game and ive beat almost all the castlevania games except 2.
so if you cant remember it your missing some pretty awesome memories.
also my favorite boss fight would probably be either Granfalloon from SoTN or death from LoD
