Which is your favorite game?
Mine postitively has to be SCV4 over DX by 700,000%
-
I'll take them both, first game is good, introduced new whip techniques, Drac X SNES just gets a bad rap some think it's a port of Rondo (guess what it isn't). Drac X SNES is a bit slow paced, some of the music though is pretty groovy.
I'll take both, they both have their merits.

Is there really someone who will vote for DX over SCV4?
-
I almost feel like that was a trick question, lmao. Of course SCV4 is the better of the two.
-
I love playing SCIV on my psp ;)
-
SC4 is great. For some reason, the VC version seems harder.
-
Super Castlevania IV. Really now, this is like comparing Sonic Adventure 2 to Sonic 360.
As for playing it on the PSP, it's alright. However, the slowdown at the bog area in the second stage is somewhat glaring...

so.... super cv4 is sonic a2, and sonic 360 is dx?

Correct.
-
SCV4 by far... it was my first one too.....well, I had played CV1 when I was a little kid but that doesn't count.
-
Few games can compare to CV4, and DX is definitely not one of them.
-
Eh, I'm sure someone voted for DX just because I said no one would do it.
-
For me, Super Castlevania IV is the best Snes Castlevania. More beautiful graphics, Music and atmosphere.
-
Not to mention, directional WHIPPING!

That'd be me! :P
Nah, actually I meant to click on CV4, but for some reason, I accidentally clicked on the DX one...>_>
Yes, I full-heartedly agree: CV4 is perhaps one of the greatest castlevania games out there.

I do too! I'm only bugged that I have to use the stick because of the crappy 4 directions-only D-Pad. :^|

DX wasn't released out of Japan, so getting my hands is near impossible. :-\

Are you talking about Dracula X:Rondo of Blood or Castlevania: Dracula X?
Because C:DX was released in the U.S. ....

Look at the title its the best SNES Castlevania so the poll is about DX not RoB.
-
That would be a more interesting question though,
RoB v. SuperCVIV,
I'd still vote for SuperCVIV though.
-
Of course SCIV.
I agree with Bloodreign that DXX Had a "groovy" soundtrack -- actually worthy of the original ROB redbook stuff,...
But DXX had stiff controls and perhaps too skewed a difficulty (probably why BR likes it). THe art style was neat though, and it definitely put the SNES to good use in some stages.
But yeah, I'd definitely play ROB or SCV IV before DXX.
-
all and all....hear this and hear it well! SUPER CASTLEVANIA 4 PWNS ALL TO THE GRAVE XD
yes i return if anyone remembers me -bows-
-
It's not even close with me. SCVIV was the apex of Castlevania music and ambiance. There is just more effects in the game too. It's a masterwork. CV Drac X does get a bad rap though.
