I searched the forums for info on this, but could not find anything. Can anyone explain to me how the scoring on sotn on live works? It seems only my first play-through was scored.

I don't know

Ditto.

why did both of you spam this topic with that then? let someone who knows answer instead posting just to say you don't have anything to say about it. you could very well post a "+1" as your post.

Yeah, don't do that...
Seriously though, don't.
Serio's right. At least say more than a quick one-liner (shame on you, #2, and #3 :P), or if you've heard anything. Posting that you don't know, to a topic that's asking a question, shows that you've nothing to add but are bored enough to post.
It's summer. Please go outside.

The sun doesn't like me, Jorge.
I only have the sotn 360 demo, b/c I'm too cheap to purchase a game I already own (twice, original and sotn) From what I understand the scoring isn't important, just for bragging rights. But knock yourself out

But knock yourself out
If you mean with the game, I don't have an X360. I have played the game on the X360 but aside from the achievements (which anyone in this forum can accomplish easily), I did not see anything regarding leaderboards. I do know that I accomplished everything. I recall it's simple things like 'cast all the spells in the game' and 'reach the inverted castle' or something like that. Easy stuff.
If you mean 'knock yourself out' with regards to going outside, you'll be happy to know that I do, and often. :)

leader boards is only like a best time/score for the game second option on the main menu, i'm rank 9569 as Vlad T Dracula, lol as for info:
exploration to conquer castle
max life/time to conquer castle
defeat cereberus time attack monthly
defeat death time attack monthly
mmet maria time attack weekly
defeat lord dracula time attack monthly
scoring i believe is based on kills and time to get so far

I haven't looked at the leaderboards lately, but I seen impossible times on there before (even with glitches), like time to 1st maria meeting 6 seconds. So there must be some hackers out there.
On the other hand, I've also heard that the best time for getting to the final save point is 31 minutes, and that is possible with some tricks and glitches...and here they are:
1. Start with the luck code and use all of your hearts in the Richter/Dracula battle so that you start the game with a Heart Refresh
2. Then use the last warg before death to knock you through death

you'll find alot of arcades that the hacked xbox users play, since alot of them have impossibly high scores, which arn;t normally achievable

That sucks.

This remind's me of ninja gaiden for the DS. When i finished the game, i upload my score on internet , only to find that the first place was 999999999 score, all levels beaten and the clear time was 25 minutes!! :o
There is no way to get that score in so less time and there are not enough enemies either to kill so that you can obtain that score or finish the whole game in 25 minutes!!
Damn you you hackers.
-
cheaters. this is hardly hacker material. anyone with half brain and cheating tools can do that.
-
Thanks for the help. I don't want to be high on the leaderboards, I just want to beat a person on my friends list. I have played it through several times and I know I beat it in less time with max completion, so I guess I should try some new things.

Well since there is no comercially available cheat devices for Xbox360 or DS (as far as I know), I would consider that to be hacking. If you want to call it modding or if you know of computer programs used to put cheats on the DS (I know that you do) then call it what you want.

i have tools to alter the savefiles for the ds, that's how i unlock some impossible things in games. i use cheating programs to create my own cheat codes, then enable things such as entire inventory, character changes, quick map warping, menu unlocks etc.
as for the xbox, i dunno since i don't have one, but i'd guess there are already action replay like cds somewhere.
